It's called watching football games. Liverpool have supposedly been terrible at the back all season, why can't he get in? Even when Matip is unavailable? Not saying I haven't seen glimpses, or he couldn't be a success with coaching but not for 20mil - that would be utter madness. That's very misleading as the reason he can't get in the team is because he had a very public bust up with Klopp. It's nothing to do with his ability.

Sakho can't get in because he has upset Klopp. This is nothing to do with his footballing ability, but more to do with his alleged attitude. I don't think that you can put too much weight on his absence this season. However, what you say about £20 million is spot on. We would be mad to pay that. Edited by dp (31 Jan 2017 4.52pm)

I'd say agree a loan with option to buy if we stay up and he's performed well. Would have early it.

Total madness to buy a potentially disruptive influence or someone high maintenance for £20 mil. Just bonkers.

This has about as much chance of happening as the Patrice evra signing was would be good to get him but going off Steve parish when asked about the sakho signing he looked quite pissed off and ignored the interviewer

Whatever the circumstances, I agree with everyone saying loan with buy option is the best way to go.. 20 Million would be an absolutely huge risk and an absurd amount to just spend on a player who looks shaky every time he plays, did well in Europa league last season and as I've said there is definitely a player there but has a lot of work to do and looks shaky everytime the ball comes to him in the games I've watched.. IMO we need something a lot more reliable if we're to spend that type of money in the predicament we're in

But also, sounds like the player wants a pay rise on the £100,000+ or whatever he's earning. La la land!

At this moment all of this is pure tabloid bulls***...my opinion is that you are wasting your time reading stories about him wanting a pay rise. It takes one bellend to post a lie for it to get picked by by every other online news site wanting hits. We were told the other day that the deal for Luka Milivojevic was off because it's too cold in England...you see what I mean? Like Denzel said, if you read the news you are misinformed.

He's a quality player, would be a superb acquisition. Big pay out, but if other targets have drifted we may as well bring in some quality somewhere in the first 11, than keep our powder dry.
