Great Appointment. Tut tut .... You forgot the head butting incident! GBH? No one is whiter than white and give these guys a break. Sam was set up and at worse tried to make a few bob on the side it seemed all a bit exaggerated. He quite rightly got the sack but should be allowed another chance. I'm happy with this appointment, a damn good manager for us.

You have lost your mind in your undying love for super losing runs al. As has been said, I think you're in danger of being sectioned. Everyone in the football world has said Sam is a good appointment but youre holding onto that flicker of light that super al could turn it around from being the 92nd worst manager in the country and the worst performing team in the country and in Europe I think. You should do one of those YouTube videos in your pyjamas bleating out your distressed waffle. Or perhaps go round selhurst with a microphone and camera to find out everyone's thoughts when we actually start winning more than 1 game per month and a half on average. You sir, need help. Get some.

pardew wouldav kept us up... seems funny who most are willing to accept as corrupt man as our manager. i would rather we are back in our rightful home what is the championship than lose our morals...oops weve already lost them!

Yeah defo would've kept us up. 92nd worst manager, worst fitness levels and organisation in the division and leaking 3,4,5 goals and losing 6 point bankers one after the other. Yeah dead cert to keep us up. Never in doubt. I bet the bookies were waiting to make us odds on to stay up. Surely one of the clubs at the bottom will hire him now or when the next position becomes available. Oh hang on, looking at that record, points chucked away, mind boggling and risky subs with point starvation at the time would suggest otherwise. He'll get a big club in the championship but no prem offers.

Edited by Rudi Hedman (23 Dec 2016 9.30pm) ..it was Pardews rotten luck that some of his players did not defend as they should have and some other people did things they shouldn't have done during a game of football.

Yeah for months and months it was never Alans responsibility. Then when they weren't making mistakes he'd risk the points we had in the bag. Or he'd simply play a game or system he maybe shouldn't have used that exposed them? Or maybe play ward at left back rather than jelly. It was all bad bad luck. Nothing he could do about any of it. All fate, all out of his hands. I'm sure chairmen will see it as bad luck when they're hiring again.

Not honestly sure if Pards should have gone or stayed. I think we would have picked up anyway and been OK. When this happens SAM will be hailed as a Saviour ! BUT SORRY by hiring BIG SAM the Club Management have shown a total lack of Integrity !! Did they not watch the video ? More interested in a few extra quid NOT managing a Football team. Oh dear PALACE is that where we are now !! Football doesn't have any integrity. BFS will organize the team much better that AP because he is a better manager. The fans were very patient with AP and why not he scored "that" goal and for that he was and is a hero. But in the end it didn't work out. But when I'm looking for integrity I don't look for it in football. Football reflects our society; It's corrupt and ultimately gives silly money to rich people who squirrel away off shore. Sometimes the rest of us have a good Saturday before going back to work more hours for less pay. I think Saturdays will be on average better under BFS.

Those criticising Allardyce, can someone confirm exactly what he's done wrong? As far as the England tape goes, the FA themselves admitted no rules had been broken.
