Remind me of the 'classy' stuff he did.? Read the game well, worked hard, made good passes, kept the ball moving, good delivery from set pieces (way better than Punch or Townsend on Saturday), good effort on goal, broke up play well and worked nicely with Ledley and McArthur.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Things Jedinak always struggled with. I seriously don't understand what people expect of Cabaye or why he is judged as he is. In terms of the way he looks after the ball and makes his interceptions, he offers something we don't have otherwise. With him in the team, I think we win the ball back quicker, and we switch play much more effecitvely. I love Jimmy Mac, but he's a different player, he doesn't do the same things. Comparing them is pretty pointless in my opinion.

OK Cheers. Sometimes I think that areas of Selhurst Park must contain parallel universes. Cabaye was excellent on Saturday. Worked his socks off, held the ball well, tackled fiercely, sprayed it around and was the centre of all we did. This has not always been so in his time with us. I love Jedi and he can stop attacks and hold the ball. With the best will in the world he can't distribute anywhere near as well as Cabaye and McArthur. You seem to be out there on your own Alan.

Yo' has been better for the past two games - I thought he and Flamini worked very well together in the first half against United. It can't pass without comment that he got dominated by Pogba for the United winner and ran through by a couple of Chelsea players on Saturday. Yes his stats over the two games were good and he did have a touch of the Cabaye we expect to see but he epitomises Palace at the moment - moves the ball well at times, doesn't really threaten the opposition goal enough, never looks like winning a 50/50 but makes the occasional decent last ditch tackle.

I think that's pretty fair. I also think Pogba will do that to better players this season than Cabaye!

I agree he pips Jedi on distribution. Personally I preferred the McJedley midfield, plus Jedi scored the occaisional free kick. Has Cabaye.? Plus there is that nagging stat that we do not win with Cabaye on the pitch at 90 minutes. Still must win or draw at Watford. COYP

Palace threaten plenty enough. We are not that far from 2 a game. What matters is turning up with spadefuls of controlled aggression and defensive organisation at Vicarage Road so we don't do our usual trick of conceding 3-5 goals. He's integral to that as the best hope of shielding the back 4 and giving them an easy out ball. Perdu needs his man to show up more than ever.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Shame he did not manage it against Burnley , Swansea etc, as for the easy out ball he seems to give it back to them more often than and put them under more pressure than they were as the oppo have closed them down. It would be nice if he did turn up for once and actually make a difference in game against a team he should be able to.

Because Fryers looks utterly out of his depth and can't cope with football at this level. Originally posted by Salford eagle
It might help if we play him from the start try and get some form going! Punch needs to be in the centre and Chungy is not the answer. Why he doesn't start Fryers is another frustration! It can't hurt to have two naturally left footers on that side. We need a natural balance to the team, it's clear to see that as soon as the ball goes down the left it slows down the play as people need to cut in to put it on their favoured foot.
If only it were White, rather than Yellow! |
