he owes us bloody big time tonight!!! the only way ill let him off for not scoring, is if he manages to hit the post 6 times and the bar 10 times hes is going to need to run his f-ing socks off, change his style of play what ever he was doing before, it wasnt working, so lets do the opposite!! If the players make the correct passes and correct crosses in the final 3rd Benteke will score. We seem to not know what to do in the final 3rd sort that out we will score goals

I feel for him tbh, he spent months wanting crosses on his head that never came, but because no crosses came in he started tracking back for the ball, now its been so long since getting good deliveries that his shooting confidence is in tatters. He wants to be a supporting striker until he sorts his head out and in that respect he has been brilliant.

There was one cross from open play in the first half against Watford that I remember him really attacking (good defensive header under pressure from the Watford guy). At set plays defenders seem to be allowed to grapple him with impunity. His hold up play, balls to his chest, is generally OK I think, the ball usually sticks and he usually lays it off to a team mate. In the air he wins a lot of flick ons but generally there is no Palace player close enough to benefit. Don't get me wrong, I have been disappointed with him but in my view he isn't quite as bad as some people on here make out.
