Need to keep him at all costs and tie him down with an enhanced contract. Where the hell would we be this season without him ??

Second in the division for assists, surrounded by Chelsea, Man C players and Payet (who's a fair bit lower down). We are scoring bundles because he's making plenty and occupying multiple defenders who still aren't stopping him. 8 goals and 15 assists he will get he if he doesn't get injured, keeps playing as he is and blanks the African cup in January.

How many wingers do you think have a hand in 23 goals every season! Only the very best, and even then not every year! KDB, Hazard, Ozil dont always get that and they are some of the best players in the world. Townsend never has a shot from closer in than 30 yards so that was never gonna happen unless he turns into Gareth Bale.

At the moment, Wilf is invaluable to Palace. Not just his outstanding and exciting performances on the pitch, but he is identified with Palace in much the same way as, say, Peter Osgood and Chelsea or Rodney Marsh and QPR. The interest shown by Spurs in August, the renewed international interest by Ivory Coast and England, and Palace's poor form in 2016 could, and I emphasise could, be factors that persuade Wilf his career might be best served by changing clubs. I passionately hope this is not the case, but to mitigate this risk I would love to see Wilf signed up to a new, lucrative long term contract. Finally, wouldn't it be wonderful if tomorrow night, Wilf really turned it on against Manchester Utd and was instrumental in getting our first ever Premier win against them as well as showing them just what they discarded.
