SP said exactly what you'd expect. No way was he going to slag AP off but at the same time he said that AP is fully aware of the the pressure on managers to get results.

which is exactly what SP has always done. Love the way some fans have to find fault in anything. Most fans would give anything to have there Chairman communicate with fans. He probably stays quiet when things aren't good to keep the abuse away. Works both ways, some aren't as abusive after a win. Didnt stop him walking around the Club shop before Man City, talking to anyone who wanted too. Also helped a female get an item she could not reach. Top bloke in my opinion.

The AW's ammenities are nothing short of atrocious. I was siting there for a bit last season and there is no way I could stick that full time. I'm in the main stand currently and while the ammenities are much better the serving staff are not and the legroom and lack of atmosphere make it a place that I would rather not be a seasonticket holder from next season. They seriously need to spend some Yankee dollars to bring the stadium up to scratch.

Oddly enough I moved from the Main Stand to the Arthur about five years ago because my season was cheaper. But, as you say, tha amenities are sub-standard although I would say that the atmosphere is probably more lively than the Main Stand as I remember it. Anyhow unless there are promises to bring it up to scratch I will probably move back again next season.

I often criticise SP for not being ambitious enough in the past 18 months we've been in the Prem, comparing our work to similar sized clubs, but i'm happy to admit i've been wrong. The fact he's looking to keep AP for long-term signals stability, which could be vital when taking a long-term approach. Swansea, Hull and Sunderland all living dangerously because they're chopping and changing managers too often. Of course that 2016 form has been bad, but we've supported AP this transfer window, he's brought in quality, and we are playing better attacking football than we have since the days Zaha and Bolasie tore up the championship. I think we should be thankful for SP being so 'media-friendly', although sometimes it has its drawbacks, at least we know where the owners stand on such an important issue. Seeing as it looks like nothing will change, can we all get behind the boys and AP for the foreseeable future. Its clear for anyone who goes to Selhurst regularly that our noise hasn't been quite what it once was; although at Southampton I felt we were rekindling that passion that was once there! UTP!

Yes but his win rate is just 18% since last Christmas in PL, that long term planning for the championship!

Today was complete shambles, in the lead and yet agains we throw it away against opposition we should be beating, the team set up, tactics and balance is all wrong, we need a complete overhaul if we are to stay in this league!
