The yanks will be seriously f***ed off if SP recommended this contract extension and 3 or 4 months later we're about to spunk £5m getting rid of him. SP must be praying we beat Southampton. This is the closest I've ever come on 35 years of going to Palace to wanting us to lose. I don't but I'd sure see the silver lining if we did (and he went).
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Its not what AP wants its what Palace would have to pay him if we terminated his contract. We paid Newcastle £3.5m in compensation to get him here in the first place. His original contract was a believed £1.5m a year until the summer of 2018. After protracted discussions in May this year AP signed a new contract believed to be until summer of 2021 obviously north of £1.5m a year! That is probably why the board continues to monitor the situation as it is. They will not wait forever but I believe AP still has a bit of time to try and turn it around. To put that £££ in perspective Palace shell out £6-7million per month in wages to the players overall. Who said football has gone bonkers?

Staying in the Prem next season is worth about £150m next year i think. We also have the £3.7m coming back from Pulis, So small price to pay for getting rid of the most conceited, self indulgent, arrogant Manager I have ever known.

Is it because what others have said or have you actually met Pardew ?

Whatever that clause provides, I can't see AP having a cat in hell's chance of successfully contesting it.

Its worth a hell of a lot more than £150m, makes the amount Pulis owes look miniscule.

Willo I have never met him, But have formed my opinion in listen to the man and his attitude coupled with the opinion and information from people from inside the club that do deal with him on a day to day basis. Things like his pre match interviews where he dictates what questions can be asked. have you ever wondered why no one ever questions the terrible run in 2016 during his interviews? I am obviously biased as I want my club to do well And that wont happen under Pardew on a consistent basis Originally posted by Willo
