Can you believe they let him sign a new 5 year contract in the summer after the way we finished last season ?

It would explain why SP is doggedly retaining him. The yanks will be seriously f***ed off if SP recommended this contract extension and 3 or 4 months later we're about to spunk £5m getting rid of him. SP must be praying we beat Southampton.

This is the closest I've ever come on 35 years of going to Palace to wanting us to lose. I don't but I'd sure see the silver lining if we did (and he went).

"Give me 5 Million" Would like to think that SP had a clause in the contract stating that if AP's results are total wa*k he can be relieved on a cheaper option

Its not what AP wants its what Palace would have to pay him if we terminated his contract.

We paid Newcastle £3.5m in compensation to get him here in the first place.

His original contract was a believed £1.5m a year until the summer of 2018. After protracted discussions in May this year AP signed a new contract believed to be until summer of 2021 obviously north of £1.5m a year!

That is probably why the board continues to monitor the situation as it is. They will not wait forever but I believe AP still has a bit of time to try and turn it around.

To put that £££ in perspective Palace shell out £6-7million per month in wages to the players overall.

Staying in the Prem next season is worth about £150m next year i think. We also have the £3.7m coming back from Pulis, So small price to pay for getting rid of the most conceited, self indulgent, arrogant Manager I have ever known.

Why have you formed this view ? Is it because what others have said or have you actually met Pardew ?

...makes the next 30 points worth about £5m each. Puts it into some context then...

I heard and read plenty of his interviews and I've certainly seen his work, and I'd say that ME has arrived at a not unreasonable conclusion.

I don't think managers who get sacked (especially for poor performance) ever get the balance of their contract paid up in full. There's always a severance clause built in. Whatever that clause provides, I can't see AP having a cat in hell's chance of successfully contesting it.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Its worth a hell of a lot more than £150m, makes the amount Pulis owes look miniscule.

Couldn't Parish have a word with Lord Sugar and get him, Brady and Claude to grill Pardew, Millen etc in the CPFC Boardroom?

He's get to the bottom of it.....

Willo I have never met him, But have formed my opinion in listen to the man and his attitude coupled with the opinion and information from people from inside the club that do deal with him on a day to day basis. Things like his pre match interviews where he dictates what questions can be asked. have you ever wondered why no one ever questions the terrible run in 2016 during his interviews? I am obviously biased as I want my club to do well And that wont happen under Pardew on a consistent basis
