I think our biggest problem is lack of leadership.
Why is there no fighting face on the field.
It is not Pardew who is kicking the ball around, it is the players! And no one seemes to take that responsibility it is to be a leader.
If we only had someone like Jedinak, he was a true leader and that is what this team lacks.
A f***ing leader on the field.
Do we have one in our group???
Johan Cabaye?
Flamini?who hasn`t played yet?
Dann?
Mcartur?

Getting rid of AP is not the first thing to do. And who to replace him?

Warnock???? Big Sam or as my son says "very big Sam"

It is not that easy, best thing is to keep AP for he time beeing and let him turn things around.

If things are not better by end of year, then replace him.

'Let him' turn it around? Only person stopping him is himself but because of his stubbornness it's then another reason or person's fault.

We can't wait that long as any new Manager would not have the time to identify where we need better players and then source them before the transfer window closes. AP has not been able to improve matters over the last year, the team is in terminal decline just look at the results and stats!

Can't believe people still want to give him another 2 games.

He might get lucky and fluke a clean sheet, then what ?????

Man U, Chelsea, Watford, Arsenal........ How many points are we going to get out of those games ?

He is clearly not good enough, sorry, but he needs to go before it gets even more embarrassing.

Yes, I fully agree, why some people still think he has it is beyond me, he has been overrated by the media in the past and even talked about being an England Manager, they all need to go to specsavers, because he is clearly useless!

Does the 2012-13 season with Newcastle where they finished 16th spring to mind? I'd hate to have your relentless optimism and outright denial of the facts.

at least we do not have to worry about Southgate coming in to replace AP, hopefully Coleman will want to stay with Wales!

I'm all for giving Pardew his fair share of stick but to reduce his acheivements in his first season to that is ridiculous. We were a shambles when he took over and looked very likely to be relegated.

We were in 18th place when he took over but we weren't cut adrift and were only 3 pts behind the team in 14th place and there were still 19 games left in the season.Besides when he took over we had only lost 2 of our previous 6 games. But we did end up 10th in his first season so a vast improvement in places terms from when he joined.

If Southampton beat us surely that will be the last straw.

They will beat us. They are playing very well after a shaky start and the boss has them set up very well.

Call it doom mongering if you want but as things are I genuinely can't see us beating anyone at the moment. We have just conceded 5 goals to the worst team in the Premiership. That says a lot.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Staines, What do you consider a bad season, ,Don't you consider winning only 2 wins from Boxing day until the end of last season Dab and then we come to this season is it 3 ewins in 11 games and performances getting worse by the week, I honestly think we will beat Southampton, but if it means Pardew going I hate to say it but i would prefer to lose under those circumstances, Now I know i will get sme flack for that comment.

You're smart.

A boss who had 3 interviews before he was given the job.
Their Director Of Football, Les Reed keeps a dossier on Managers/coaches around Europe and with their so called "Black Box" scouting system they are well setup in terms of recruitment.

Regards the team, one can say they aren't prolific scorers only scoring 13 PL goals this season, 5 of which have come from set-plays.Equally they have a good defensive record. So it will end 5-4 !!!!

That's got to be one of the most desperate claims made on here in recent times.

How do you know he will try something new?
And as its new how do you know 'he's not far off succeeding with it?''

More daft than you can imagine.

I think you'll be good at ski jumping and you're not far off succeeding at it.

Sorry, you misunderstood me. It was meant to read that I can see him trying something new at present with different formation etc. Not he is going to try something new.

5 from set plays, that 2-0 to them before we start!
