Funny I thought the same thing, starting probably with the manager and possibly the defensive coach, unless Pardew is telling them something different. I don't expect us to win games, but to score 4 and lose, despite twice being in front, and for four of those to be the product of simple defensive errors at set pieces, is unacceptable on the back of a string of losses. Credit where its due, we started the seasons not scoring goals, and we're now fairly prolific, but f**k me might as well consider fielding a 8 or 9 man midfield for that game.

First I would drop Hennesey - once again he made the same old mistake and showed no discipline at the free kick! Bring in Speroni! ( that won't happen though with AP in charge !! ) Second I would drop Benteke - he went missing in his defensive duties several times and he won't win any aerial balls from Fonte and Van Dijk this Saturday. I'd play Punch wide left and Townsend wide right where he wants to be and then put Wilf as striker where he can use his pace against those 2 giant centre halves. Ledley to play behind Cabaye and McArthur. As for the defence - Tomkins to play RB and Ward going to the left with Dann and Delaney reunited in the middle. Speroni Actually the problem for me, is more relying on a centre forward to pick up and defend against the oppositions major ariel threats, rather than say your center backs.
