If a job and colleagues is affecting your life in an adverse way, find a new one.

I'll be honest, I've never had the pleasure of working in an office environment but if I were you, I'd take him round the corner and give him a f***ing good hiding.
Unless he's a mummy's boy he won't wanna admit to getting a beating from a colleague.

If you're not very handy with your fists, make sure he walks out into the fighting arena first and then punch him in the back of the head.
A simple solution but it works.

My dad always told me and my brother...when you get them down, make sure they stay down.
And I think that's very good advice.

I've never given my boy advice that though.
I've always told him that at the first sign of trouble then he should run.
I don't want my baby getting hurt.

If he ever approaches you or just even opens his gob have your phone ready on camera mode, stay silent and start filming.

He'll be sacked in no time then.

I'm not doubting your methods for one minute but I also think it was how we were brought up. And rightly or wrongly, I couldn't let this bloke get away with what he has.
A good old fashioned introduction to the corner and then a bit of a beating would sort it all out I feel.

Violence, or the threat of violence, can be the answer sometimes but not always. Best to choose your battles and tactics wisely first before engaging.

The chap so far has done a sterling job but needs to keep his guard up.

And that's not bravado.
My conscience wouldn't allow him to get away with what he's done.

We're all different though I suppose.

I used to work at a company where our manager was a absolute ar5ehole, we all hated the guy with a passion, there was lots of talk of laying him out etc. Then one day he had a heart attack and never came back, Christ were we happy!

I know this doesn't help you and I can imagine how he makes your life hell, lets hope he's got a weak heart.

I've grown up in the building game so if there was a problem then you sorted it out on site.
I can understand that it would be different in an office environment though.
I'd still take him outside and punch him in the back of the head. And then in the front of the head.
Just to make sure.

There's a nasty bloke at my work who's been winding me up for some time. Always immature and knocking over piles of stock I have stacked at work etc. I've wanted to lay into him and give him a hiding for the last year or 2 that he's been here but I don't do things like that these days as I have a Mrs and a kid and rent to pay so cant afford to be losing my job. This guy bullies and upsets another couple of the guys at work too. He's been reported a couple of times but no one seems to care and he makes people's life a misery at work especially me as I'm always full of anger and wish I could do something about the without getting into trouble and losing my job. Today I find out myline manager has been promoted and I got called into the meeting room for my boss to tell me the Bully has been given the job to be my supervisor. I said it's a joke and how could someone so immature and someone who upsets people and winds them up etc be given the job and my boss just said the decision is final. He called the Bully in to the room and he acted all innocent like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth and said "there will be no trouble from me" but for weeks he has been winding me up saying "I'm going to be your boss and you ain't going to last long when I'm incharged" building up till today. When we left the room he had a smirk on his face. It's going to be hell working under him and I have so much built up anger where I want to hit him so I don't have a clue how the hell I'm going to keep calm when he's up to his usual immature shananigans. I have been going home from work depressed over the last year from all the stress he causes which has been effecting me and my finances relationship. Is there any law against promoting someone who has caused all this grief? Is there anything that can be done about it? I thought there was rules against someone being chose for a job role without anyone else being consulted who might have wanted the job themselves or at least be interviewed for it? I can't believe what a joke of a company it is here to not care and to be happy to have someone like him making people's life hell. I know nothing about this sort of thing. Is there anyone I could talk to to give advice on actions that can be taken?

In actual fact, the more I read of this post, the more I'm getting aggravated.
Tell me where this c*** works and I'll get him for you!
