The voice of reason, good post Sadly we have a lot of fans that have not experienced the bad times.. let's keep the faith. Plenty of fickleness and very little loyalty from some as if we are so much better than the Bournemouths, Middlesboroughs and Sunderlands of this world that we should be way above them in the league. Half of our first team would not automatically command a place in these other lower Prem teams due to their, and it's simple really, footballing ability. it's not Pards fault that we still lack 4 or 5 players whom we need to make the team complete and a 50-60pt Prem team season in season out. He has only been with us 22 months and he inherited a much weaker squad. He's doing ok overall. Another year and a few more signings is what he needs and deserves. He kept us up when we seemed certs for relegation don't forget. Be loyal.

What should've been happening today was arms being waved to keep 2 v 1 and another in the hole or 1 or 2 more, not risky sh1t and letting a point become nothing when we've accumulated 1 point from 4 games which is now looking like 1 from 6 games. He is gambling or ignoring fundamental stuff and risking his job not our prem status because he'll be gone before he's doing that. Plus the fitness or alertness and competitiveness in close situations is at junior level. Is there any planning on what we do in different situations at set pieces?

It's a tough one, it could all click and we can move onwards and upwards. But chances are, the trend will continue and we will have another wasted season and risk losing players or not attracting who we want. Personally - besides the cup run, it hasn't worked out for him. Last season we had a huge amount of luck - granted which happens, but after xmas we nose dived - sure, we had silly injuries etc, but that can happen for any club. This season he got some great players in and let's be honest, we should be 6 points further up the table at least and our goals against should not be what it is. Should SP do what he is always does and gamble that things will work out or does he gamble with someone proven. Let's be honest, Pards looked good at NUFC because he was apparently working under such constraints 'the chairman selects the signings' 'money isn't always there'.. well now at palace he has had the backing and granted he has bought in some good faces, but is he getting the best out of them. If we get a new guy in now, with the squad we have, we shouldn't be to worried about relegation. Come january, if nothing has improved, it's a lot harder to get things sorted. But, i feel SP would rather us have 3 worse teams and survive any way and carry on making money. Edited by Vaibow (06 Nov 2016 12.36am)

We should be in the top 4 at least - our total outlay in the transfer market was 10 - 12 million. What a waste of money. Seriously - we're a small club in a big pond, with crap facilities. It's gonna take time to improve the squad (paper thin), the training facilities, the coaching staff, the scouting network, the academy and the ground so that we can start attracting some of the top players. %0 years of supporting Palace have taught me patience and the roller coaster can be gut wrenching and exhilarating. If you think this is tripe, you're supporting the wrong club

Stick or Twist ? My own personal opinion (Not gained from the corridors of power at CPFC !) is that Pardew will be given every chance to turn around our fortunes. We will not be expected to get anything from Man C, but I think that even if we lose at Swansea he will remain in situ.I might be totally wrong on this but as ever time will tell. Should stick, we are scoring goals, unlike last season when we couldn't buy one. All the time we are scoring we are in with a chance. Of course we need to work on being tighter at the back. In spite of results, there does seem to be a togetherness in the squad, that makes me confident that with a few tweaks the results will come

it's not Pards fault that we still lack 4 or 5 players whom we need to make the team complete and a 50-60pt Prem team season in season out. Then who's fault is it??? Because that would certainly seem to me to fall under the purview of the Manager. Why in the January transfer window was Pardew ONLY FOCUSED on getting a Striker. Because we were told we were only a Striker away from competing with the Big Clubs in the EPL. How about the Summer Transfer window. Were any of these issues addressed, NOPE. Just another thing Alan Pardew and his "supporters" got wrong.
