Forgot about that point. Once you concede first, you know it's over. Total lack of motivation. Draw if you're lucky after resorting to longball tactics. Was almost 3 years for Newcastle to win a game after conceding first

His other favourite thing to do is to change players, but not formation. So at the weekend we go down 1-0, have 2 strikers on the bench eager and ready to prove themselves so what he did was swap Lee (playing well) for Bolasie (didn't want to play) in a like for like. Nothing changed as a result. If anything, we got worse!

And with 2 mins to go our left back gets injured so he replaces him with another left back! Why not just chuck a striker on and at least try and get a point. Was barmy

Think you should concentrate on your own club, you've been relegated, and your first two games have been a disaster.

Maybe you want to have a look here and think about some campaigns we can have. Maybe Carlos can help with the organising.

He's never changed with his fascination of trying everybody out at full back

I like Newcastle Utd and wish them all the best for this season. Great town, outstanding supporters etc. But a few things some of our toon mates should take on board when it comes to Pardew.

We lost the first game of the season, that's all. It would be daft to do anything at this stage, as it would be to kick out Benitez after 2 games. Most of our fans will wait, we have been through so much worse. After all we are still in the Premier league, and that is with Pardew. Maybe Newcastle could have survived relegation with Pardew as their Manager....

For sure we will judge him (Not that anyone is waiting for a fans verdict) once the transfer window has closed and the team settles down.

Have faith one and all, be it Palace or Newcastle.

Thank you for your post - however you've come at a time where many Palace fans directing anger at Pardew should be targeting at Parish! Gave him a list of names at the start of the summer, he's brought in 3 of the 5/6 targets which isnt too bad. Feel as though we played good football up until West Brom scored and it is an improvement on the Pulis/Holloway era. Definitely there are question marks over the sales of Bolasie and forcing out Jedi - but no doubt Parish wants the money. If he was backed properly in the transfer window Benteke would have started against WBA, and the result MAY have been better

As for Newcastle, you have only gone downhill since Pardew left (he also finished you 5th, which is remarkable). Surprised Rafa the saviour has lost his first two games after spending more than the majority of PL clubs have this summer - yet no abuse because he has a fancy name? I feel as though a lot of Pards' problems at Newcastle were that the fans directed anger at the manager when more problems lay upstairs (Ashley etc). It's the same here.

Most recently saw on Sunday Supplement that Pards gave speech at St George's Park to a lot of coaches and many said he was inspiring and tactically very knowledgeable. I think he is an OK manager, nothing more or less - but for us he's just right atm.

Regardless of whether we are happy with Pardew or not. Should he move on, sooner or later, I can't imagine posting on the fans forum of the club he is managing nearly two years later to continue moaning about him. Can you not finally let it go about Pardew? It's frankly weird the way you are still so obsessed with him.

Also after all your campaigns to get rid of him it hasn't exactly gone swimmingly since either, perhaps that's Pardew's fault too?

They have blamed him well after he left.

Agree completely re. The board. Make no mistake, if Carver had kept us up he'd have got the job. If McClaren had about 8 more points he'd not have been sacked. The board dawdled too much on his sacking because of the chief executive's reluctance to admit his own incompetence.

But if you want the rainbow you've got to have the rain. Do you know which philosopher said that?
Dolly Parton. And people say she's just a big pair of tits.

Ha ha great post. Yes agree with most of your posts. Your board have been poor and you've a right to apportion blame to Pardew, and fair enough Mclaren was even worse! Carver out of his depth.

Our board are fairly new and admitted making a mistake in Selling Murray ; I think they've repeated that by letting Gayle go without a replacement. Both were capable strikers in the premier league.

I think toon will come good and have you and the weed as favourites to go up despite your poor start. I concur that Pardew has favourites and if your not one then your damned.

By the way, what was your impression of Townsend? He seemed to go well for you and didn't appear to want to leave

What I'd say though is; do good managers go 4 months without a win?

Except of course he didn't, if I remember rightly, the four months without a win, was broken by the closed season, presumably you didn't lose all your preseason games or your league cup games.

What you actually mean is 'we had a bad end to a pretty good season' and 'we had a bad start to a season' - You did of course then go onto win six games on the trot, and ramp up the table into a good position around Christmas, then collapsed when he left.
