I'm glad I am not in any way responsible for choosing the next manager as nobody stands out for me.

We find ourselves in the same boat every 4 years or so - ignominiously exiting a tournament, disposing of the manager and then trying to find a new one who will solve all our woes.

And here we are again. For all Hodgson's shortcomings it does suggest that the problem extends beyond simply who is at the helm. Is it really the case that nearly every manager that we have had in the last 40 years has been useless, or is it something more endemic in the English game - our mind-set, skills, early career coaching, adaptability etc.

Last night, particularly in the 2nd half, we saw England's best go to pieces, with muffed passes, lousy shooting, poor ball control and looking defeated well before the final whistle blew.

Why on earth would you want a kraut leading out the England team? Have you lost your marbles?

Sir Bobby and Sir Alf would be rolling in their graves

What an insult !!

I would quite gladly take anyone who can make us successful. Let's not forget we have had a swede and italian in charge of us.

From what I have seen of Klinnsman sides, he would install some much needed desire and passion.

Look at the England rugby team from where they were to what they have achieved now, and with an Aussie in charge (the arch-enemy)

Kraut? Jesus, really?

You should want the right person, irrespective of where they are from. Look at Eddie Jones in Rugby

the dignified don't even enter in the game

A few days ago, Martin Samuel writing in the "Daily Mail" said that the England team required an Eddie Jones but they have got a Stuart Lancaster.

Jonsey Flag wherever I lay my toolbox thats my... 28 Jun 16 6.07pm

I'm going for a drastic reshuffle

I'd have a separate selection committee who pick the squad based on performance and discipline. Members to be retired managers, ex pros retired from a football for at least 5 years, from different generations and postions who will obviously have different views and opinions on all the players so no favouritism.
Example.
Terry Venebals
Kevin Keegan
FA Head od discipline
Ray Clemence
Stuart Pearce
Bryan Robson
Teddy Sherinham

Manager who picks the team
a group of ex internationals to do the coaching.

Manager Home or foreign not bothered
Pellegrini

Coaches
Shearer
Fowler
Platt
Beardsley
Barnes
G.Neville
Keown
Rio Ferdinand
Seaman

Rugby's different, it seems accepted in that code but not in Football. All the top nations Brazil, Germany, France, Spain, Italy etc never go foreign. It's about pride in leading your country.

England should play an English way under an English manager not throw in the towel and try a copy the Spanish.

Klinnsman won Euro 96 in England and was revelling in it singing 'football's coming home' rubbing our noses in it and you want that arsewipe to lead our nation out at Wembley? you need your head testing
