If we don't sign anyone this January it won't bother me too much because just being in the PL at this juncture in our evolution pleases me to bits - and I don't think we are that bad to get relegated. Having said that, I note our difficulty in signing people...because, I assume, at home and overseas CPFC still has a stigma that it is really a Championship club and that this last few years is an anomaly at best (not my belief - other's beliefs). I think wrong beliefs. So, my hope is to steadily keep buying 'quality' players, like Cabaye, to gradually dispel this negative feeling about our club. And soon, we will no longer be viewed as a bad risk, and in transfer windows we'll be able to get better success with buying the players we want. It will take more time. For now, we are a solid PL outfit and I am very happy!
