Fact is no premier league side has ever been interested. He is s goal scorer, can't deny that but that's all he is. His hold up play is average, he's not quick and doesn't offer much if asked to run the channels. He'd never fit into our system. But, in the right system one cannot deny his record.

For those Rhodes fans apparently Boro have pulled out of the deal. Seems he's still available. For what it's worth I don't think he'll fit into our system and we're seemingly not interested.

Turns out it may simply be down to the total cost of the deal being too much for Gibson [Link] But we'll soon find out if another PL side is prepared to take a chance on him this window.

Read he is on 65k a week with Blackburn!! Wanted crap loads from Boro, pay rise if promoted and bonuses for goals etc. Agent being greedy so no wonder they pulled out. £30 odd million for a 4 and a half year deal is ridiculous.

If he's not prepared to lower his (or his agent's) demands, Blackburn will be stuck with him until his contract expires in 2019. By then he'll be 29.
