Not case of Wolves wanting to release him...Sako didn't want to sign a new contract so he let it run down. Gives him flexibility to choose his next club.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako in talks with Palace' by Moose He was a real hot property not very long ago so to get him in his prime at 27 for zilch is fantastic business. He can be a bit of a beast.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako in talks with Palace' by Moose Solid signing. We needed wider cover in the Zaha/ Bolasie mold and he is best option. The West Brom angle makes it all the sweeter!!!

Think you want two players for every position on the whole and I see that as the following in midfield Zaha/CYL -------- Mutch/Puncheon ------- Bolasie/Sako Midfield done in that case, with Guediora and Bannan leaving and Joniesta probably out on another loan. The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako in talks with Palace' by Moose Yeah just spoke to a Wolves fan I know. Wants the play at a higher level and if Wolves were promoted he would have stayed. Was great for them so if we do get him on a free then it's gonna be a good bit of buisness from us.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Bakary Sako in talks with Palace' by Moose Makes total sense even if Bolasie stays. Punch is now a central player in Pardews eyes...
Loving the Palace rollercoaster ride.... |

Would he have met Van Dijk before? Doubt whether he will meet him today as Celtic are on Champs League duty tonight.

Sky sources understand Bakary Sako is having a medical at Crystal Palace after agreeing personal terms with the Premier League club. Earlier, Alan Pardew told Sky Sports at the premier League launch that he hopes to complete one deal today. He said: “I’d like to think we’d get one done today. I know you’ve been pushing me on it but I’m not going to give you a name because I never do until they are completely done. If we can get him over the line he’s an exciting player as well. I’ll be looking forward to seeing him.
