This is like a cancer.

At some point we've got to "treat" it.

Up to now we've been applying plasters.

Hit 'em hard and take no prisoners.

Also for the boat people.... station warships off the coast and turn back all boats laden with refugees and so called asylum seekers. Deal with traffickers and smash their boats.

Sounds harsh, but we've no room or resources to look after these people.

If necessary we need to take over these rogue states and return them to normality.

ISIS and other terrorist groups are just exploiting a vacuum and causing unrest which motivates normal people to want to flee and seek refuge in Europe.

If we ignore this it won't go away.

We caused it.

Oh get a grip you pillock. It is the rampant dissemination of wahhabist/salafist teaching, bankrolled by saudi money that is "causing it".

But while you're busy wringing your hands and being a west-loathing pathetic apologist, more and more heads will be cut off, more and more bodies riddled with bullets. People like you make me sick: yes, we invaded Iraq (and against my personal wishes too), but how long are you going to stretch the hyperbole to link it as the driver for every atrocity that subsequently occurs in the middle east? It's wrong, it's intellectually bankrupt, and it makes you look like a fool.

So i'm a ''pillock'' and a ''fool''? I'll lose no sleep over that.

You have 'monkey' in your username. I guess it's engrained in your DNA?

We have to stop fannying about. We need to get in and start wiping this scum off the earth.

Modern day Nazis, except now everyone who's not a muslim is a 'Jew'

The West created the ''scum''.

Even if that were true, that means it's ok for them to slaughter thousands of innocents then ?

They're setting people alight in cages, chopping people's heads off. They're pure scum and need wiping out.

It's about time the politicians stopped talking and started doing something else.

They done something and this is the result. It's not that hard to comprehend tbh.

How doc we actively control it tho, roughly 90% of Muslims are Sunni and arnt the problem.

How do we control the other 10% when a lot of the time they live side by side,..nigh on impossible.

The whole things bulls*** really.

Stop raping their countries would be a good start.

Yeah putting boots on the ground and getting in and 'sorting it'... Great idea.

F--king idiotic. Look what happened last time. ISIS were tiny and barely functioning in 2001 now they are the biggest global terrorist power.

01-07 was a terrible time there was no hearts and minds attempt with the Iraq war. Not until Petreus. Soldiers stayed in their camps had sh-t intelligence and killed husbands and sons and fed groups like Isis.

We did cause it. Not denying that. The west had ideas for the East and it is in a terrible state because of how we have been f--cling them for a long time.

Maths medicine and many more came from the east, so to say it's how it's always been is bullsh-t

And then what we go over and say 'have democracy, you are no longer a 'failed state' in our western eyes', yeah that will work. Give them something we think is 'right' something we worked for as a country for hundreds of years then f-ck off again and leave them in the lurch.

It's amusing how most people associate any issue or crisis in the middle east with the decision to invade iraq. Even if they are not connected in the slightest. So many ignorant people believe that the situation there was fine until the west f***ed it up. I'm sorry to say that there have been numerous issues prior to 2002. I heard someone say that America was responsible for the trouble in Israel and palestine. f***ing hell America has only been a country for 240 years. That s***s been going on for ever. But it's in that general vicinity so just blame it on the west.

why do people still heed the violent texts in Islam ? whereas the violent bits of the Bible have been ignored by Christians ?

Read the book of Leviticus if you do not believe me.

The OT is essentially the Jewish Torah (with some differences, but nothing major). There was no Christianity before the coming of Jesus.

With the death and resurrection of Jesus God established a new covenant with Mankind. That covenant is predilicted on the teachings of Jesus and the acceptance of him as Lord.

Even Non Christians know that Jesus spoke endlessly about love, not judging others, looking after the weak etc

Anyone choosing to use random verses from Levicitus to justify violent action is as insane as these ISIS monsters.

US foreign policy since WW2 has left a lot to be desired and has created many a sh1tstorm in various parts of the world. They (the administration) like conflict. It is a raison d'etre. They need to be at 'war' with something whether communism, drugs, terror, and aren't shy in poking their noses in where they don't belong and tend to leave vacuums that are filled with worse violence than what went on before they arrived.

They slaughtered the Iraqi Army, figuratively speaking, in 1990 yet decided to keep Saddam in power. Very odd that.

Add Central and South America, Korea (where they murdered up to one million civilians ), Cuba (sanctions for 50 years) and their contentious policy of financing Israel and the rows that come with that, and other countries who have not asked for their interference but got it anyway, then the damage that they have caused in the world becomes more apparent.

I see them as a belligerent force when going abroad and no good for the health and peace of the world.

Kermy your post is just so wrong....It's so wrong it should have a special award named after it.

Your arse would be grass without the States....You probably even wouldn't be here.....But you just keep on your way sticking the knife into the very entity that partly enabled you.

Read the book of Leviticus if you do not believe me.

The new testament is a new covenant.
Most Christians ignore Leviticus, just as they choose to ignore lots of aspects of the old testament.

What you say are violent bits in the Bible are also countered in other places.

It's the same for Islam......It's about interpretation.

The Islamic state is more about a perfect storm of sudden violent opportunity amidst societies of usually low opportunity and poverty.....Societies which often only have a religious book for their main education and only require a successful unifying force to direct....And more importantly pay them.
