Yes I think he is living in a dream world. Trying to hold onto Austin for the championship by the looks of things

Austins family live around wiltshire area, and his Dad is a developer/builder who is very well of(£m).He has his hand in most developments locally and owns quite a few houses.Charlie Austin transfer to Hull i was told fell through because of some substance found in his body.Swindon fan told me all this, dont know if its true but he said he knew Austins family well. Family leaves down in Poole, plenty of Bournemouth fans think he's nailed on for a return to the area
If another club found a banned substance in a player during a medical they would be obligated to report those results to the FA / FL / PL body, and would have no reason not to.

8m more, the offers for AJ when we were relegated were 12m, but he stayed on for a season, at which point it was 8m. As a premiership striker who's scored 17 premier league goals, for a s**t team, 20m is probably about right, as a championship player that value drops by 25%-50% when you consider QPRs capacity to pay his wages under FFP.

I didn't say that he got caught, I didn't hear that he got caught at all, this was all from about 2006 upto he signed for Swindon. And I am positive that he would be as far away from that kind of stuff as possible now, however boys will be boys and the past is the past...

Don't see the obsession with bringing this player to Selhurst, didn't exactly set the world alight in his two games against us, and since his initial goal feast they've dried up a little now most teams have sussed him out, which they very quickly do in the Premier.

I agree, I would prefer we look for someone abroad who will be better value for money and look like they have a better ability to bring other players around them into the game. Something Muzza has done superbly since returning.

I blow hot and cold on Charlie Austin but I now think most of his negatives can be directly related to his being a pretty good striker in a crap team!. I think we could promise him more at Selhurst as we have the potential to provide a pretty good service from the flanks. With the poor service our wide players provide, he'd be lucky to score in a whorehouse.
Your not called "blind eagle" for nothing are you. You must be blind as when was the last time you was at Selhurst Park, never I bet, because there is no potential it that area for a new ground, and only very limited potential for improving Selhurst Park due to the close proximity of the residential properties on all four sides. Any chance of moving to the old Crystal Palace were scuppered by the Spurs, West Ham, situation with the Olympic stadium, and there is virtually nowhere in the Croydon area that could accommodate a new stadium, the parking, and transportation, the club over many years have looked at moving on a number of occasions including being offered the old Croydon Airport site in Purley Way in the 1950-60s. According to the present Chairman, no the Yanks aren't coming thank god for that. I'm only identified as Blind Eagle because I don't see too well at present but perhaps if things do not go well I shall become as blind as you suggest. I was bred and born just a gentle stroll down Portland Road ,South Norwood, from Selhurst. I have been a Palace supporter for 70 years so in view of your litany of restrictions and impossibilities for any expansion of facilities I am anxious to hear what the future of our Club is. To what extent has Parish tried to address these issues? It seems we might have to down size our ambitions and just be a smaller club without too many ideas of going for the big time. I'm sorry to hear that we are not going to get a windfall from The Yanks as I thought this might make a difference but as you would not want them anyway , I enquire if there is a way we could raise additional capital in Britain with which to finance players and limited ground improvements? Perhaps my most pressing concern is how will all these impediments to expansion affect the Club from the point of view of morale? We might conceivably reach a point where every body just gets pissed off and leaves. I would certainly hope not and so I do hope Parish will begin to think out loud and let us know what and where our future really is. I can now understand why you are so depressed but its clinical so there is every possibility you will get better and I certainly do hope so!. For someone claiming to have supported Palace for over 70 years, your very negative about the club, I've only supported them through thick and thin since 1953, and never speak negative of the club, the only person I had no time for was Simon Jordan.
That's an observation of a players skills or lack of not a negative remark about the club, but a fact that both Bolasie and Zahas distribution into the danger area is poor and I stand by that comment, something AP has said himself.
I don't get to need to cheer up, I get to watch Palace live at games, and our wide players don't provide 10% of the quality ball they should, Bolasie only gets the ball over the first defenders head when he shoots, then he clears the heads of everyone in the top row of the stands. Zaha over hits 99% of his crosses, both players should have a far better ratio of assists to their name than they have, and that's down to poor delivery. Here's the answer to your so called question, "Talks over planned takeover of Crystal Palace break down" [Link] or [Link] or even [Link]

As much as I'd love this to happen (and have done for years). I think Austin will look to a club in Europe this year, therefore boosting his England chances before the Euros next year. Shame, as I see him as a younger version of Murray and could potential slot into that role perfectly. Never mind. We'll have to wait and see what the transfer window brings in.
