We'll sneak through in 4th. Hope to god we avoid SA in the QF as they'll break all sorts of records against our impotent attack, I'm not even joking when I say I can see them hitting us to nearer the 500 mark. We could get India though, who we've done a number on a few times recently. I've completely done a U-turn on Ballance, get him out of the side and get Hales in, something needs to be done to improve our top order. Keep Taylor down the order. Despite the loss, this morning Taylor, Root and Buttler proved what a difference having capable batsman down the order can do in the last 10/15 overs. Edited by RainhamEagle (01 Mar 2015 11.08am)

Get rid of Ballance and Broad. Major competitions should not be used to get players match fit. Replace with Hales and Bopara. Tempted to replace Anderson as well. A four strong pace attack only works if you have pace which we don't

People think it's a case of jiggling the pack.....though I agree that Hales should have been in the side. But here's the truth. We just aren't good enough. We have no real fast bowlers.....We have no real spinners. Our batsman are about average when it comes to one day cricket. The reason we are so poor are legacy decisions taken (no free to air) which have reduced the audience and hence participation for cricket massively. We certainly have the people at the top of cricket being paid well now but we now have a situation where most school children don't know the names of players in the test side or indeed care about cricket. That is....wholly the fault of the ECB.

Also we should be given an automatic 100 runs every game considering we invented the sport.

However, bringing in players like Hales, Roy and Vince would at least see us compete a bit better than we are on the total scores. Our bowling cannot be helped, we have nothing coming through and what we have now is average at best, but we can help ourselves in the other factors, instead of persisting with players like Bell.

However, other than probably having a higher run rate I'm not convinced that either Roy or Vince would do better than Bell in terms of average. Still, I woulnd't object t them being given a chance.
