Wow, I never realised how scummy their fans actually are. Before the game my father and I were approached by a very drunk Liverpool fan who asked me if I had a spare ticket, when I replied no sorry, he called me an F-ing prostitute. I answered him with a whack on the nose. Thankfully other palace fans were near by and chased the scouser away. In the ground I didn't notice any near me in C block. Wow, you actually admit on an open public medium, to assault. How thick is that! Tedious

I sat in block V in the Arthur Wait and noticed a few sat around me not singing and supporting Palace, but in general kept themselves quiet, however near the end of the match somewhere in row 2 block U a bloke removed his jacket to reveal a Liverpool Shirt and then unrolled a Liverpool You'll Never Walk Alone Flag !!!!! This obviously stirred up the Palace fans, but a Steward was standing right at the front and did NOTHING !!! it wasn't until things started getting heated, and so many Palace Fans stating to the Steward to kick him out, that eventually a few stewards started to move in and remove the bloke. He was obviously looking for trouble and nearly ended up getting it.

I'm block Y of the Arthur ... there was the flare at the back early on ... lots of standing up and looking towards back of W/X blocks? There was also an incident in X block? Someone stood up and pointed down at the guy in front of him ... when stewards approached he sarcastically applauded and got loads of "bye bye's" waved at him ... it was funny to watch. Saw someone with a camcorder on a pole trying to film over wall at back of Arthur ... sadly for him he didn't see the pitch.
They say hard work never hurt anyone ... but why take a chance? |

Back of block Y in AW the red smoke bomb was set off right next to the disabled supporters who had no way of moving and no telling if they had breathing problems.

Overheard a dad saying that a couple of the Liverpool fans coming out of the away section at the end of the match had spat on his son (who couldn't have been older than eight). Nice Edited by highbury eagle (06 May 2014 7.40pm)

told him to do his job which I pay for and if he was not willing to up hold the oath he took he should look for another job ! I sympathise with your anger, you have every right to be, if anything is going to make me lose it and push me into violence it is being spat at, let alone a son of mine being spat at. However, that kind of chat is never going to get the plod to help you. And in all honesty, what is he going to do? Arrest them all? Maybe you can stretch it to an assault charge but the fact of the matter is there are a couple of thousand angry and sad people around who could cause a lot more than hurt feelings at any moment, which need to be kept an eye on.

I was told the other day by my mums partner who was spat at in an altercation (not football related)by his solicitor that spitting on someone is no longer a case of assault.

Forgot how arrogant and shifty the Scousers are, was sat in block x in the Arthur and they stood out like a prick in a nunnery, not just with their weasel like features but how quiet they were when the rest of the fans were up and going nuts before sulking off with a bit of stick I had to give them to help them on their way. Trying to blend in with their joint Palace/Liverpool scarf. Just loved seeing their faces as they left. One more thing what is it with those joint scarfs, there were loads trying to sell them outside, one got right in my face trying to sell me one only for me to get back in his face and said "Why the f*** would I want Liverpool on my scarf"...
