Stadium, training facilities, attendances are all insignificant factors: its the football that matters & thus far, they are destined to always remain in our footballing shadow.

If they were to grace the Premier League, this status quo would be broken. How anybody can wish them an invite to join the elite is beyond me...

The sheer arrogance of that lot before/during the play-offs should never be forgotten. They really did think that all they had to do was turn up & they'd be victorious. I'd never witnessed anything like it.
The celebrations after the 0-0 first leg, the plastic clappers and song cards, the gloating about Murray's injury were all so far beyond the comprehension of a regular football brain & that only made the victory sweeter.
The fact it was Brighton was almost irrelevant at that point- if ANY club/fans showed that sort of arrogance in those circumstances, I'd have been praying for them to be dumped on their arse in the 2nd leg just as much.

Their amazing fanbase (that includes all the Sussex-based part time West Ham, Chelsea and United fans that go just 'cos) are already at their level and that's where they belong.

Let them stay there & maybe we can give them a little reminder in a cup competition, every now and then, of what football is really about.

Is the correct answer.

I'd like them to get into the play off's only to endure 2 miserable defeats.
No way promoted though.

I'd rather see them where they belong..in a relegation battle in League 1

It should be a good weekend for the last games - thanks to Reading coming back from 1 down to win 3-1 the weed dropped to 7th so need a win against Forest and hope Wigan (2 games left) and Reading (1 game) f*** up

I hope they are in 6th even with a 90+6th minute goal for Jobi Macanuff who scores a winner for Reading in their last game and whilst the deluded w***ers are still celebrating Emmerson Boyce scores off his arse in the 90+7th minute for Wigan to put them into 7th

Really hope they scrape seventh place and lose another 8 million or so next season. Admin would be the icing on the cake.

I'd much rather they slid down the leagues. I'd love to see a quarter-full Amex hosting League 2 football

Jobi scoring in the last minute at their tin-pot stadium that suited them was one of my favourite Palace moments (along with Dougie's 100th goal in the same match). I thought the make-shift stand was going to collapse with all the bouncing we were doing. Catching the park and ride surrounded by them was also my favourite bus journey ever

We give Jobi a lot of s***, but he knows we love him really

As long as Palace are in the Prem, who cares where Brighton are doing it? And as long as they have a stadium close to Selhurst, a good number of fans to put lots of dosh in the Palace coffers...that'll do me. Lots of local teams to play in the prem. Not far to travel, I see every South East football fan as a source of good income, to be exploited by our great board. I hope Palace allow Fulham to win and stay up. Lets Hope we are joined by QPR or Brighton in the Prem next season. Cannot understand why so many on here are so worried having to play these teams regularly. We are Palace and much better than the rest. We fear no-one.

First leg of the semi-finals tonight. I can't be the only one who is quietly hoping for a home win.

I get the thought - Brighton games are special, but...

...I don't want them to win.

Any game.

Ever.

A nice 0-4 tonight would be a good start

Not me; I don't want them to have a single moment of joy. Plus, as has already been said, they have quite a bit of cash for a Championship club and I don't want them to get another £60m+ to splash about. I prefer they went into freefall and droped out of the league altogether with ultimate financial ruin.

There still far too smug at the moment, they think they have had a bad season despite selling some of their best players.Maybe in a few years if the Amex was half full, Allardyce in charge and playing dreadful football.
