I suspect its much more to do with the unlawful dismiss claim Moody has against Cardiff than Cardiff trying to get points deducted from us. The premiership has only ever deducted points as far as I can tell when Portsmouth went into administration.

Where do you get this from Jamie? According to The Grauniad on 5 December he seems to have signed a Settlement Agreement.

<<The agreement Moody signed when he left Cardiff means that he is unable to go into the circumstances surrounding his exit>>

What are the allegations being made by Tan? I have thought of a few that may be the case.

1) Someone blackmailed a Cardiff employee to pass over information. If proved this is criminal.
2) Someone bribed a Cardiff employee to pass over information. Just an internal issue of trust for Cardiff, though not nice to know someone at Palace did this.
3) Someone at Palace bribed Cardiff player(s) to do something during the match to help Palace get a result, like give away a penalty, miss an open goal or something similar. If this is the case the implications are truly horrendous if proved. The way Cardiff played Tan believes this is possible. Some ex-Palace players are at the moment being investigated for something like this, though this of course is nothing to do with what Tan is on about.
Cannot think of anything else on this matter that could possibly be a problem, tho' I'll keep my thinking cap on!

Bribery is a criminal offence, not just an internal issue.

I meant, bribery for some inconsequential inside info that may not be of much interest, like who was shagging who or the tea ladies name. If not deemed to affect a result it's just a matter of personal confidence.

Really do think this is a massive storm in a teacup. People who work in football are constantly bandying around line ups, team news, rumours. Why wouldn't they ? Players, journos and scouts all move from team to team and gossip to each other.
So what if someone told someone who told someone who told Ian moody what team might be playing...hardly the crime of the century.
As has been mentioned, fielding an unregistered player is surely a more serious crime, and this is only punishable by a fine.

That's just dandy, so long as there is nothing more sinestre, which is the point of this thread.

I'm sure Cardiff would have asked Wilf (a Man United player) to give them a few pointers on Palace players strengths and weaknesses.

I cant see how this would be any different to Moody tapping up a Cardiff contact for their planned teamsheet.

2 days before the game, Ole Gunnar wotsit said in the paper that he had told Wilf to celebrate if he scored a goal.

That suggests to me that OGS told the World that Wilf would be playing.

So is Tan sueing OGS too?

isnt it more likely that Bolasie rang Wilf and asked him what the teams were seeing as they're such good mates?

We play Cardiff, beat them and soon after they sack two members of staff, we play Villa beat them and and soon after they sack two members of staff. Are they going to complain about Moody as well lol.

So Moody supposedly phoned somebody up 2 days before the match and got the team sheet. Firstly I assume Cardiff were training before this crucial match with the potential for injuries ? So can't see having the team that early would make a difference. Not worth the paper it was written on. Secondly if somebody at Cardiff was stupid enough to give him the team then it is an internal Cardiff matter. If they received some benefit for this info then that is a different matter. Sounds like a lot of hot air at the moment and a desperate throw of the dice (like the change of manager at Norwich) from another struggling club.

When we beat Liverpool I reckon Stevie G and Suarez will be out of the door

This whole story has non event all over it - The Sun went into overdrive and has now quietened - other papers hardly gave it house room..its the desperate ramblings of loon trying any means possible to deflect from his and his managers awful bollocksing of their great opportunity in the PL as it slowly gurgles down the toilet
