my votes

1. Speroni
2. Dann, this the defence really solidified when he got here

3. Jedinak, always great consistent effort

Doing very well but only 9 games.

and look at our results in those games.

I honestly see the point and i will be shocked if anyone but Jules wins.

However, I interpreted this question in a slightly different way -- which player has the most to do with us staying safe?

In my mind, after Jules, Its Scott Dann. If we didnt acquire him, I honestly think we are in the drop zone right now. Though only 9 games, I would take him against almost any centre back in the PL

Scott Dann has done very well and is a better player than Gabbidon.
However Gabbidon was a shade unlucky to lose his position.
But thats what is needed to improve the TEAM.

Jedi.

As I have posted elsewhere, when his form dipped the team's form dipped. The same thing happened last year when he got face ache. He is the heart of the club.

Ward.

Unlike Jedi, he is consistent and it is asstonishing he won't even get a squad berth for England given his quality and utility.

Speroni.

Too many saves that saved the result. Outstanding season. Another who should be going to Rio, not the beach.

Delaney...

Get the picture? There is an argument for every player. PotS is impossible this year.

Who started this complete myth about Jedi's awful passing? I have seen stats that say his pass accuracy is 71% - which I suggest is pretty damn good.

We expect everything from him because he offers and delivers and adds so much to the team. He was superb in early season performance (Spurs, Stoke & Sunderland) and was our only stand out player in those days under IH along with Ward.

Yes I know he has made a few poor passes but who the hell has not done that in this league if they have managed to play every single game?

I actually think SPERONI deserves the award this year if it has to be given to just one man but to constantly keep on about Jedi's passing is now becoming boring.

James I assume you don't get highlights of Palace over there then !! Love Jedi's passion and ball winning but my main beef is they are not hard passes that go astray, he can't pass 2 yards !

FANS

I was watching La Liga (Barca) an the commentator said, quote:
"there's a club in PL, called Crystal Palace which has the best fans I ever seen"
"And their GK should be playing with Messi or Rooney in the World Cup"
That made my day!
Jules: A legend who was faithful to our institution even when we went throu a mess with Jordan administration and the loss of 10 points. And in my view he may have 4 or 5 more years in the tank (like Van Der Saar who played until 40 with United at high level.
Fans: Can you imagine PL without our fans? They are so creative and supportive. The best.
