everyone in this 100,000 all seater stadium is on their feet as the one time palace legend Steve Bruce returns once again. what a magical sight - he must be so proud. sj 'i'm glad we've finally found the right man for the job in ian Dowie and i'd like to take this opportuninty to appologise to all the fans for appointing Trevor Francis before i now realise what a BIG mistake that was. Danny Granville joins Arsenal in an £8 Million Pound deal which sees Gunners misfit Ashley Cole heading in the other direction. The deal also includes Parachute payments of £50,000 Pounds per game for the first 100 games that Granville plays for his new club. SJ said that it was the hardest decision in the world to let his star player go so cheaply, but conceded that in the world of European Football, Palace will always be one of the 2nd Tier teams, along with such names as Porto and Feyenoord, who just cannot keep up with the Real Madrids and Manchester United's of this world. At least Palace will be bouyed by the fact that the money will come in useful, for next seasons Champions league campaign.
