He should be taken down to the pdsa in south croydon and put down.
Tbf moxey when he came on could just as well have done the same job up front

Understood the move of bringing him on, but the fact that Aaron Wilbraham has played in a Premiership match is a disgrace not just to Palace but to English football. New striker badly needed but a solid performance yesterday, still buzzing.

Everyone on this thread has said the same, he is great at holding up the ball and does really irritate the opposition defence. Knew when to head for the corner flag too, got a brain. Doesn't score, wasn't brought on to do that. Instead keeps it in the opposition half. Everyone on this thread except three people gets that.

I hate Wilbrahimovic because if he could score he would be such a good striker. His hold up play touch and bringing others into the game is actually superb. Technically a very good footballer. I might be exaggerating but he has one of the best footballing brains I have seen. I am actually gutted he can't score because if he could he would be an exceptional player. Put him in the 25 he has his uses in certain scenarios.

The only time we kept the ball from a Jules kick was after he came on. It is by far his greatest asset and I think it should be used until we have another striker. Chamakh is not a top man, he plays far better behind someone and has the technical ability needed to score goals. Wilbraham is very very good at holding the ball up and allowing players to get around him. It's beggars belief that you can slate him for his side foot shot when hes played no first team football since August and his first shot he had was well controlled and on target, more than Jerome has managed in 1/2 a season of football. He is not a goal scorer and doesn't claim to be but for our style of football we need a top man who the ball sticks too, wilbraham does that better than anyone else we have.
Let's all be pedantic shall we? He has scored goals, perhaps not for us but he has. It wasn't his job yesterday, his job was to do exactly what he did. Muscle the stoke defence and waste time while trying to bring others into the game. Mission accomplished. The mere fact that Pulis brought him on is good enough for me, a man who knows about football and what is needed to get a result. Gayle is a goal scorer and was available but he wasn't what we needed. In all fairness im in agreement with your post regarding his job yesterday and he did it well. I actually like Wilbs for his work ethic, and was used correctly by Pulis as opposed to Gayle whom would probably chase down the ball off 4 defenders without much luck in getting it. It just seemed funny that a job as a premiership centre forward, with which there is only probably 60 to 80 in the world as a profession would not claim to have an end product on his CV. A bit like a rocket scientist who can't add up. Edited by 7@burnley79 (19 Jan 2014 12.34pm)

Anyone who thinks Wilbraham is a good player needs their head examined.
