He did what he is good at - collecting the ball and holding it up. He had one decent shot on goal and one weak one. In the final minute he could have had a third but let it run - from a lack of confidence? - to Puncheon whose shot was saved (again) by the Stoke keeper. A second goal would have put us out of our agony but he did what was needed of him at a crucial stage of the game.

I was at the game so could see what he did today AND what he always does best. Keeps the ball in the opposition end.

I think some supporters get an opinion of a player and find it difficult to see anything good that the player does. I'm a bit like that with Puncheon but have tried to concentrate on what he does right rather than what he does wrong.
