93 or 94 ... lost 3-1 at home to Coventry ... Cobi Johnson (American player) scored for them ... amittedly it was pissing down with rain. I left early as the players couldn't be bothered ... Nigel Martyn looked up and gave me a sad look as I walked along the front of the main stand. Isnt it funny how often Coventry matches at home are really poor efforts! I was going to mention this game, because it tipped down with rain, my programme got sodden, the game finished for me at 67 minutes (when I got up and left - the only time I have left a game early). However it finished 2-0 as I remember....we didnt even cross the halfway line for most of the game and Dion Dublin scored before Cobi Jones scored with a HEADER. he was 4 foot8! Summed up our season as we went down. The 1997 match against Coventry also sticks out, but Moldovan's miss from 5 yards out still cracks me up! Another poor one was the 1-3 defeat at home to Crewe back in 2003. It was December and they ran rings around us. Dowie was thus appointed a few weeks later and we all know what happened then! Drawing with Stockport 3-3 might seem ok, but we were 3-0 up! The FA Cup Semi replay with Moan Utd...big let down. Any League Cup Semi we have been in, especially against Arsenal. Exceptionally poor in all the home legs against Arsenal and losing 1-0 at Anfield to Robbie Fowler in the last minute was a kick in the pants. Alan Smith's last game in charge too - 0-2 to Wolves....horrible game. Leeds FA Cup in 2002? Still angry about that one! Robbed! God there have been so many that I could, but havent mentioned here. Still, the good days balance all these things out!

I remember a Watford defeat under Trevor Francis that was so bad I wanted to leave at half-time. 2-0 we lost I think - we were so inept that day. Think I found the bitter temperatures and the plastic bags floating around the pitch more interesting than the match.
