1995-1996 leading up to the Leicester playoff final at Wembley the song Two Little Boys by Rolf Harris was popular at the back of the Upper Tier Holmesdale. (please no Brighton jokes).

Now I don't have to tell you good folks what's been happening in our beloved little town. Sheriff murdered, crops burned, stores looted, people stampeded, and cattle raped. The time has come to act, and act fast. I'm leaving.

Way back in the sixties to the song by Mary Hopkin

Those were the days my friend
We are the Holmesdale end
We sing & fight forever and a day
We are the Red & Blue
We fight and never lose
Oh yes those were the days.

And of course after the epic semi final victory in 1990
my alltime favourite.

4-3, we beat the scousers 4-3

From the 70s in Holmesdale, any old gits remember this one?

To the tune of On Top of Old Smokey

I bought an ol' 'andbag and filled it wiv lead
And hit my old lady right over the head
Along came a copper and he asked me my name
I gave him the answer wiv a bicycle chain
The judge said sit down boy and dry up your tears
You're going to borstal for 2 or 3 years
I counted the moon beams I counted the stars
I counted ten faaahsand thru those prison bars
If I was the warden and the warden was me
I'd wake up one morning and set myself free
But I aint the warden and the warden aint me
So I'll have to stay here til my liberty
Liberty!

terrible...lol!

If I agreed with you we'd both be wrong

One of mine too from 70s. Long time ago now but still remember it fondly - the Holmesdale lads swaying & singing together. Closely followed with Knees Up Mother Brown. Good fun times!

To the tune of Blaydon Races:

Oh the lads
You should've seen us coming
Everywhere was red & blue
And everyone was running
All the lads & lasses
With all their smiling faces
Coming down the Holmesdale Road
To see the Palace aces

Wise men say
Only fools run away
And I can't help
Falling in love with you
