Luckily down here we’re cleaner and more sensible than up north. I fear Boris is in headless chicken mode rather than playing 4D chess. The other day he was telling people to make a beeline for the cinema, days later there's talk of closing pubs again. He's played his hand badly but at the same time he knows that whatever he does or doesn't do will look s*** compared to the status quo, hence the whack-a-mole approach.

With one eye on the public inquiry/blame brigade and the other on following other governments to protect themselves, whether right or wrong.

In disaster situations you change the message as the circumstances change - which can be constant.

They elected to have a complete lockdown, then before we knew it were offering 100 million Eat Out to Help Out meals and the like, and now we're locking at another lockdown. It's a lurching to extremes, which in and of itself encourages the very situations we're having to deal with, whether economical or virus related. Edited by BlueJay (08 Oct 2020 4.29pm)

Boris gave the game away yesterday with his "build back better" speech. This is about using the threat of a virus to enact the great reset, agenda 2030, the 4th industrial revolution etc. He basically laid the whole thing out. It's as plain as day as what the EU, UN, WEF, WTO, World Bank etc have been talking about for years now. It's not even a hidden agenda. If you think your freedoms are being infringed now give it a few months and see how you feel then. We are now being run by outside interests and Boris is just a puppet. Hard times ahead.
