Thank god we’ve avoided that after bringing in Benteke and Sahko. The costs of those two have, in essence, hamstrung the club. We are clearly looking at younger players give the ones for the future who have arrived, and the one whose medical is problematic. That is the way forward for a club like ours, and given some of the injury problems we have had it seems reasonable to be concerned over a failed medical. Good post . 19 million for probably the 3 most likely to win POTY, 4 guaranteed starters and a pair of useful subs.

If it's true that we've let Wickham go on line, I am truly flabergasted. Best striker we've got, coming int some fitness....no real replacement or alternative....and we let him go? Madness.

If this is Wickham coming into some fitness then I shudder to think what he'll look like when he's knackered. Not being injured isn't the same as being match fit. He's rusty as a junkyard. But what he will do is what a forward is meant to do...anticipate, get into good positions and get on the end of crosses and score. In fact, he's done it twice in as many games recently.

Well my contact has gone very quiet probably embarrassed as a lot what he has said has not ended up happening however still just over 3 hours so will wait and see. Ferguson still looks like it will happen & Wickham going is nearly done. If I do hear anything I will let you know.
