Since time began there has always been a part of the ground where the more vocal supporters gathered. But it didn't involve them getting any sort of special treatment at the expense of other Palace fans.

But our atmosphere has become to reliant on having the HF as a driving force behind it.

Where were you not long after the Holmesdale was seated? The atmosphere was shocking, and it had been dead in the Arfur a long time as well.

‘You’re not very good, you’re not very good, you’re not very, you’re not very, you’re not very good.’’

Change to ‘’dodgy keeper, dodgy keeper, takes it up the a rse.’’

We just watched it be so sh1t for so long before the HF woke everyone up.

Put the vocal section in the best place in the stand to spread the atmosphere and maximise the impact. Smart move. Should be cracking

There was already a singing section.

Cracking - how apt.

Wait until those in Blocks D & F have their view of the game ruined by persistent standing in the adjacent block or a wonderous display of red/blue smoke or flags being waved in front of them.

I'm sure they'll all sit back and applaud Parish's decision.

When was the last flare in the home end?

When do the HF wave flags during the game?

You’ll probably have a restricted view of the teams walking out on one side or fans in the Arfur clapping at 2.55pm on the other.

During the match you might have to stand when the ball is in one of the Holmesdale corners or in the box which is what everyone does anyway.

I understand you might be irritated by being near the drum or wondering why there aren’t standing singers next to them instead of 2 blocks away but you won’t be thinking of that, just your self interest.

Just like they moved people to move the away fans.
Just like they moved people out of the executive seats
Just like they moved people for the gantry
Just like they made the whitehorse a family stand.

The club are making a change to quadruple (???) the amount of singers, hoping it will have a knock on effect to the rest of the stand.

Its a progressive change, it's a new initiative. People are having to move and lets all hope they get looked after, I know I wouldn't be happy of course, but in big changes people will be affected.
Let's just hope it is successful and makes Selhurst a positive place next season.

Good post, well put. Whenever there is change there will always be people unhappy. No change suits everybody. Once it has bedded in, it will be fantastic. People will be happy again and these rows will be forgotten

And the selfless part-time HF have no self interest at all, always thinking about others, bless 'em.

I'm sure the compulsory evicted residents of Block E will be delighted,as they sit in the rotten seats nobody else wants.

As per my post, no change suits everybody. One hopes, and expects, they’ll be given first choice in the new stand when opened.
