Can't someone else in the short term take over the drum?

To summarise as I see it...

HF wanted to move behind the goal.
Club would not move existing season ticket holders (quite rightly)
HF disbanded
Most people agree the atmosphere suffered.
Not a lot can be done now this season as the HF gave up their seats.
Hopefully something can be sorted for next season

I do not care one way or another if the HF exist or throw their toys from their pram and disband.

I suppose that they do like a sing song and use a drum like Mark Goldberg tried years before to improve the ambiance, and it has been noted in the press.

I've been happy to hold up crap left on my sit, join in the old chant and don't mind the pseudo ultra pastiche at all.

But when treated these groups as anymore than a petulant children, you give them and inch and they want a mile.

As for moving blocks, is one supporter better than another? In the end they are the clubs seats and they have a stated framework for sales for all loyal supporters.

If they truly believe that their support, makes such a massive difference to their teams performance, then as a true supporters group they would be remiss or negligent in their support of "their" club not to "give their all"..

Then again evidence suggests that they are not loyal supporters of the club after all which is bigger HF or CPFC? Like many of the groups that came before another will be along soon, move over the kids are coming.

It's not like it's the first time ever that the HF have not been at Selhurst. Pre-HF it was a morgue as well.

If you thought last night was bad, wait until a few months into the season where we are playing a 'lesser' team.

The HF make the atmosphere. It may have been loud in certain places last night but the ground as a whole was dead.

The club promised the HF things that they couldn't deliver. I dot agree with them disappearing all together but a large portion of the blame has to be laid at the clubs door. Mark Bright apparently.

Following last night, wanted to take the opportunity to bump this request. If anyone wants to be part of a singing section towards the front of B Block, please email palaceblockb@gmail.com

We’ve put this out before the start of the season and had about a dozen people respond. Not overwhelming but a start. I understand that people may have been waiting to see how things went on Monday night - would the HF turn up and the problem disappear? Would the atmosphere rally without them anyway?

- Now we know that the HF are being true to their stated position, i.e. they have withdrawn their support from the front of Block B.
- We also know that, to a lesser or greater degree, the atmosphere was the worse for it.

So again, we’re asking anyone who’d be interested in moving their seat to form a singing section to get in contact. We’re not asking you to commit at this stage, but want to gauge numbers. This is a massive thread and clearly important to many, so will be posting this a few times just to attempt to get peoples attention. Apologies for that repetition.

All the seats at the front of the block on Monday night were not ST holders (they’re all still up for grabs, but we can't guarantee for how long for). These were random people who had bought tickets on late availability. None of them backed any chant all night. Indeed, it’s highly likely there were Liverpool fans in there. I’d urge any fans who don’t think this is acceptable, and who’d like to get behind a singing section, to get in touch at palaceblockb@gmail.com

Does this mean The Club had the forsight to reserved these seat for the HF / Singing section when we all realise the cutting our nose off to spite our face experiment helps no one, and sense is seen?!

I ask a small favour, what does this mean in English?

Are some loyal supporters worth more than others??

Indeed, it would seem the club is being quite balanced in this spate leaving an opportunity for the HF to realise they are no bigger than any other loyal supporter.

However this thread exists for pushing solely one agenda.

and it is fun to disagree.

I guess it depends on:

A) your perception of whats constitutes loyalty (simply buying a ticket would be considered loyal to some)

B) what else a fan brings to the table other than the perceived 'loyalty' in A) above

interesting so there is a scale to loyalty, when a fan says he is a supporter of a club he could be graded a cat 1 or cat 5 supporter and could be denied his regular seat for 10 years for only being cat 5.

could you be denied loyalty points for say deliberately withdrawing support?

Doesn't need an explanation. The effort the HF put in with the 'crappy' displays as you put it is to be respected well at least from me..i'm not going to go on I just simply dislike your outlook I find it soul destroyingly dull.
