We're actually ruled by those who chose to ignore the seriousness of this virus at its outset, and rather stuck their middle finger up at it. The restrictions compared to other nations aren't even that particularly severe. It sucks but as someone who knows a few people who are experiencing some very nasty after affects from COVID I'll play ball. I will concede that the 10pm curfew for pubs and bars seems nonsensical though. There’s also evidence that locking down a week earlier would’ve been worse. But it doesn’t stop Owen Jones scweaming it every time you see him along with ‘the world’s worst death Covid stats’ when it’s political friends within the NHS who’ve been manipulating the truth on Covid deaths we’ll have to wait before the truth is exposed. At least little pet rodent Owen got the 10pm curfew and student shambles right. 1. How did your friends catch Covid? 2. It’s very normal like from real flu. But now every this blown up out of all proportion. You watch those bars on charts representing other deaths supersede the Covid deaths. And that’s before you have to move thousands out of the Covid deaths columns into the non Covid death columns due to the NHS justifying their policies and their anti Tory politics and making the most of the pay homage to the NHS nonsense that felt suspect not long after it started. Wrecking millions of lives doesn’t sit well with millions unless it becomes emotive, only you can’t run a country, especially in these times, on emotion, only Boris probably is. He should’ve been booted out already. That ball is rolling and Wancock trying to play tough with the Tory rebels, only for the rebels to grow in strength during numbers tells us what’s about to happen as these power drunk madmen get more carried away this autumn. Going to get very spicy.

I'm just astonished at the over-reaction of all of this. Our civil rights are being removed to a greater and greater extent, and people are acccepting it. It was shocking that a police officer was killed in a custody suite, but it is equally shocking that the police can arrest you for being in a group of more than six. Still, at least we have compulsory face coverings. That, at least, is stopping the spread of the virus and keeping the 'r' number down. Oh....wait.... The idiocy towards other more worthwhile measures since masks came in just makes me feel even more comfortable I’ve made the right decision to not wear a mask where I don’t have to but adhere to everything else and show consideration to others, including obviously vulnerable people and others I don’t know their personal/home situation.

1 maybe from someone not wearing a mask. As much or more possibility from someone who was wearing a mask, badly, touching it, touching other stuff. And highly unlikely anyway if they weren’t coughing etc. It could’ve been in a pleasant independent cafe/coffee shop like posh bits of London after the Italian skiing holidays. Likewise the people who went even though they knew about Covid, including private schools that had their children travel all the way back with teachers and come in for a full day at school before contacting parents to keep them at home from 2nd day. Nah, it’s all down to masks. Jesus Christ. The easiest and simplest measures are quite frankly the worst but oh so easy for government and the virtuous and sanctimonious that would rather not do anything or put themselves in harm’s way. It’s these types that irritate me. The hypocrisy of them is vile. No concern for damage elsewhere either. Cvnts of the highest. You still believe the mask crap then. Funniest thing I saw today was ‘Hancock is like a s*** footballer goal hanging, knocking the ball over the line as it’s going in anyway and claiming what he’s done has scored the goal and got the result.’ Edited by Rudi Hedman (28 Sep 2020 10.38pm)

Let's get that one in first as this is a football club supporters forum. If you are not affected by that, then why are you posting on a CPFC fan forum? I cannot attend the following either:- Music concert, no rock or country or orchestral or popular or any kind of music event. Any festival. Weddings. Funerals. Christenings. Birthday celebrations. Anniversary celebrations. Christmas gatherings. I can't sing at church either ffs! No you are correct. I'm just whinging that I want to live, not just 'be alive'.

You post some interesting stuff Rudi. It's time to learn to live with this virus, it will not be beaten. Viruses have existed almost since the dawn of this planet. And maybe before that. Humans have evolved a billionth of the amount that viruses have. I'd say they have the upper hand in evolutionary adaptabilty. For every vaccine we produce, the virus will get round it. There has never been a vaccine, or any kind of cure for the common cold. And that has been around for more than a couple of decades......

I agree we can't beat it but need to live with it. The question now is, will the government admit this? Shield the vounrable The UN needs to come together, get answers about the virus and charge China if they are seen to be up to no good. This could be in the way of voiding debt if they don't play ball.

You can also ditch the PM, health minister, medical advisers and introduce a wider range of advisers other than just medical.
