Cameron promised the referendum to silence Tory sceptics and hit back at ukip. But he's f***ed it completely and I suspect that leave will win by a few points. Blair killed off Labour with the idiocy of the Scottish referendum. It'll be interesting to see what the fall out from this disaster will be.

His Kenyan ancestry through his father may well have left a negative impression of Britain. But then again, it might not have and now the other side will all scream racist at him no matter what the topic is. I see Teresa May admit that immigration is f***ing impossible to sort out while we're in the EU, but that got relegated to about headling 5 or 6 while Obama's threat of 2 days prior retained the top spot on the BBC. Not very impartial that.

Boris has a great grandfather who was Turkish (when Turkey was hardly modern day Turkey) and his parents were both English. He spent two or three years of his very early life in the states, interspersed with living in Britain. As an elected MP in the British parliament he most certainly doesn't need to butt out. You've made far less valid points than the one Boris is being labelled as racist over.
