I have just put a bet at 25/1 on Charlie Austin moving to Palace. QPR must sell. West Ham have Andy Carroll, Villa have Adebayor and who would want to go to Newcastle. Palace have the bait in Dwight Gale or Glen and Palace need a top striker that will get goals.

Harsh on Delaney. I often think we are too quick to see negatives things in Delaney that aren't there simply because he was a free transfer and is into his thirties. Dont get me wrong, I like Damo a lot. Been pretty solid in the past when we have really needed it. I just feel we need something else to really tighten up the back line. Against Arsenal he just seemed a bit lost up against their attack. Although, im sure many CB would! But like i said, just my opinion.

He's 25, Clinton Morrison was banging them in for us as a 19 year old. I know he divides opinion Gayle but he's never going to be the striker we need. Well done. You have fortitude, I'll give you that. Even I've become bored with posting the bleeding obvious about Dwight every five minutes, and that's saying something. Gayle may not have as many followers as Jesus, but those he has are as willing to suspend reality.

I have £20 at 25/1 and £20 at 33/1, but its not done till Charlie signs . The only thing that will stop this transfer is if Spurs don,t get there man from West Brom.

I have £20 at 25/1 and £20 at 33/1, but its not done till Charlie signs . The only thing that will stop this transfer is if Spurs don,t get there man from West Brom. Nice one. £1100. Or about 7 bottles of beer in the Holmesdale.

I cant make my mind up about this one. 15 Million is a lot for such a risk. Plus I quite like our attacking options at the moment. I rate Gayle very highly, he is young and with the right guidance under Pards, i think he can do very well for us. Plus Sako can obviously finish and isnt afraid of having a go. On top that we have Bamford and Wickham, and then Chams when hes fully fit. But As much as I love Glen, I think it makes sense to say our goodbyes, 5 Million is very good money, especially for a 31 year old striker. This could make way for a pacey CB to partner Dann. Delaney looks to be struggling IMHO. He's 25, Clinton Morrison was banging them in for us as a 19 year old. I know he divides opinion Gayle but he's never going to be the striker we need. I'd love Austin here and it for meant selling Gayle and unfortunately Murray then I think we should be all over it. Austin can play the lone striker role and he can score. He'd be perfect for Palace. I really wonder why people think Gayle is young? Austin is only about 3 months older than him! So he must be young too.....and I'm only just 30. So am I young too?

Yes but i'd expect two of Murray, Gayle and Campbell to go before the window closes, and Chamackh see more of the injury table than the pitch so that leaves us with Bamford(who i think may be deployed as a CAM), Wickham + one of the above
