Ignoring context is to ignore the whole truth of any situation. Often it is done to distort in pursuit of a prejudiced viewpoint.

It’s something to be found in the tabloids and social media. Including here.

You responded with "You need to get your facts right". I did get my facts right.

By the way. Thanks for reposting and (highlighting in colour!) my point that "The canard that we must have immigration at the current levels to support the NHS is of course a lie by the left".

The word was facts. You got a fact right but not the facts. You ignored one vital fact in the context of the discussion.

I reposted your comment so that the subject being the NHS, and not immigration, can be seen.

That was almost 4 years ago when the impact of Brexit was in its infancy. Things are very different now.

That many people moved there during lockdown? OK.

All of the facts that I posted were correct. It is absurd to suggest that facts are nonfactual because they are not accompanied by other facts, or your spurious facts.

It's like listening to Fatty Arbuckle complaining about overweight people.

I don't get your point. Yes we had some people move here to take up remote working during lockdown, but that happened in many locations.

What we are seeing now, predominantly in the NHS, is the arrival of large numbers of overseas clinical staff. Doctors, nurses and carers as well as other specialists.

If you haven't understood the point by now you probably never will, so I guess this is a waste of time and effort, but I'll try again.

When in court you are required to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. One single fact is not the whole truth. It is a fact. It isn't the facts.

If all you were talking about were the number of arrivals then you stated the facts. When you are talking about the impact on the NHS you weren't.

Years ago a neighbour of mine featured in a headline in the Daily Express which read "Boy falls down 200 ft cliff and survives".

It was true. It was a fact. It happened. What they failed to mention was another fact. He was climbing up from the bottom and only fell 20 ft.

I completely stand by my original post. It was factual and debunked your excuses for mass immigration.

That way lies madness; where do you draw the line? 20 in and 10 out may only represent a net increase of 10 but if the 10 out were all doctors and the 20 in were all criminals the effect would be bad. Vice versa the effect would be good. Unless those doctors were inept or... or... or...
How many qualifiers does each statement need.

In court you have to tell the truth and if you do you will win.

Irony abounds

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Absolutely. How could the outcome conceivably be any different? No one who told the truth in court has ever lost a case after all.

That is my point. Is it like for like e.g. 1 plumber out 1 plumber in. Or is it 1 plumber out 1 unskilled person looking for a minimum wage job.

Or 1 single person tax paying out and 1 family on benefits coming in.

One more point
