I would have thought that whatever is genuinely better for the people is perhaps best decided by them. This is US politics thread, we've had reasonable Americans post that they were better off under Trump. Every American I meet reckons they were better off under Trump. The world is now starting to see that they were also better off with Trump. There is definitely a disconnect between what news we are fed here and what my American contacts are telling me. I can understand gun toting Republicans supporting Trump but what does surprise me is the number of middle of the road and signed up Democrats who lean towards Trump. Sure, they are more liberal in thought but when cost of living and uncontrolled immigration take centre stage, they tend to look back to when Trump was in power rather than more of the same under the Democrats.
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

I caught a few minutes of one of the usual media suspects like CNN yesterday, and they had an attack dog, mixed race female presenter constantly telling guests the danger of Trump to democracy. The difference to a few years ago was that not one of the guests was having any of it. I was pretty surprised, frankly. They couldn't seem to get anyone to agree and cut to breaks. It was sad yet quite comical.

Its important to remember that Biden did this as a former Senator and former Vice President. This means Biden's retention of classified documents was not covered under the Presidential Records Act, nor did he have the ability to declassifiy anything. President Trump had both. Trump deserves his retribution against these people.....they came at him first.

Trump is not simply indicted for retaining documents in error. He is indicted for failing to cooperate with those investigating their removal and wilfully obstructing them and deliberately concealing many documents. His claim to have declassified some prior to their removal has been dismissed as nonsense. The scale and seriousness of the documents retained meant that it was inevitable that he would be indicted. He did this as President after trying to overturn an election result. This was a deliberate attempt to retain classified material. Biden cooperated in full and said he was surprised when anything was discovered. It was his own attorneys who alerted the authorities when they were found. They date from him time as VP and as a Senator. This was therefore carelessness at worse. To suggest what Biden did was worse than Trump hits new heights of total garbage. It’s nonsensical and risible. That the Republicans are doing their best to build a range of mountains out of a piece of sparrow poo is par for their course but anyone here falling for it is showing gullibility on an epic scale.

I wouldn't worry about him; his arguments are cogent, well thought through, articulate, detailed and overwhelmingly correct. Thank goodness he has the time and energy to respond.

I do worry about you Wisbech. Hardly! It’s one of the most respected news agencies in the world. If you want to observe propaganda then you need look no further than the daily denials of responsibility for anything from the Trump campaign. If you don’t like the Reuters analysis there are plenty of alternatives:-

Strangely I do have the time at the moment. There is an awful lot more to worry about in some of the attitudes regularly on display in these pages.

Can you literally go one day without posting about your beloved Trump? Starting to think it's more than an obsession perhaps bordering on the romantic creepy stalker type thing.

Order of events: 1. Trump wins. 2. Media meltdown. 3. Trump has Biden indicted on charges related to classified documents. 4. We hear constantly that those charges are invented and politically motivated. 5. Media meltdown.
