Todays first download is a set by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers that was recorded in Gainesville, FLA on the 5th November 1993. This is in superb quality and the audio for the show has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and sounds top notch. I've posted loads of albums and bootlegs by TP over the years - he always puts on a great show. This is no exception and the band perform a wicked setlist which includes the hits "I Won't Back Down" "Last Dance With Mary Jane" "Runnin' Down A Dream" and "American Girl". This is a great show and is thoroughly recommended... Todays second download is a set by Mike Ness that was recorded at the Berklee Performance Center, Boston in June 1999. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and sounds great. Mike was the lead singer/guitarist with the band Social Distortion which started in 1978. He has also appeared with the band Easter and now appears as a solo artist. This rocks big time - a great show with songs by Social Distortion, solo stuff and a few cover versions as well - if you've never heard Mike Ness - grab this one and have a listen.. thoroughly recommended... Todays first download is a set by Suzanne Vega that was recorded in Bavaria, Germany on the 22nd July 2011. This show is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show - a fantastic recording with pin drop perfect sound quality. The show was broadcast on Bayern2FM on 25th December 2012. I've posted a few boots and albums by SV in the past - this is another top addition to the collection. A good setlist which features the track "Luka" - her biggest single hit. If you like Suzanne Vega - this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set by Orleans that was recorded for a radio special in 1979. This is in superb quality - pin drop perfect sound - the audio has been taken from a radio promotional vinyl album. This is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted - I'd never heard of them before I downloaded this album - and they are a wicked outfit - they rock big time. If, like me, you had never heard this band - give them a try - this is thoroughly recommended.... and then some! This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and sounds top notch. I've posted a few boots by GM over the years - this is another top show with a wicked setlist that includes the bands own material as well as a few cover versions. Todays second download is a set by The Golden Palominos that was recorded in Montreux, Switzeland in July 1986. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and sounds top notch. This is the first album or bootleg by this band that I've posted - I dont really know much about them either. They were formed in 1981 and released their first album 2 years later in 1983. Since then they have released 8 albums - going through several changes in the line up over the years. They play rock with a hint of country... not bad at all..... try it!! Todays first download is a set by Led Zeppelin that was recorded in Dallas, Texas in August 1969. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard and has been remastered - and for a bootleg thats over 40 years old this is amazing. The bonus tracks on the boot were taken from "The Bombay Studio Sessions" recorded in India in July 1972. I've posted lots of LZ boots over the years - but few from their early days like this one. If you like Led Zeppelin this is a must have - a great bootleg.... Todays second download is a set by Humble Pie that was recorded at the BBC for the John Peel Sunday Show and was recorded on 9th September 1970 and broadcast on the 20th September 1970. For a bootleg thats over 40 years old this is in superb quality. There is an intro to the songs by John Peel - followed by the track. This is Humble Pie at their best with Steve Marriot on top form. This boot has been posted before - but a few years ago - if you like HP - this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays first download is a set by the legendary rock band Free. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from the soundboard. The boot is in two parts - the first being the rehearsals which were recorded at King Studios, Tokyo in July 1972 and the second being the live show at Korakuen Stadium, Tokyo also in July '72. Good quality boots by Free are very rare - I was amazed when I saw this one and grabbed it immediately. Paul Rodgers on vocals and guitar on this one. If you like Free - this is a must have!....
