Edited by Eaglecoops (17 Feb 2021 9.51pm) You've of course argued countless times yourself on subjects you're not personally a qualified expert on too. Including this one. That's essentially what this area of the site is. With that in mind, posting data from recent large scale studies would seem to be a more useful and factual contribution than many, especially in a thread where people are specifically wanting to read about covid vaccines. Vaccination on such an unprecedented scale will clearly tip the scales in one way or another and data and studies now and in the coming weeks will be our window to what the impact has been, rather than an act of guesswork. It would seem to be rather pertinent to this thread and society in general.

A reminder of the recent Israel studies for interested and impartial parties: "A total of 371 out of 715,425 Israelis who passed at least a week after receiving two doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine have contracted the virus – 0.04%, with 16 being sent to the hospital Over the same period of time, some 8,250 new cases of COVID-19 emerged in the control group of some 900,000 people having a diverse health profile. Those who were not inoculated were therefore 11 times more likely to get the disease than those who were immunized, showing 92% effectiveness." - [Link] "The viral load was shown to be reduced fourfold on average for infections occurring 12 to 28 days after the first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. (That is considered a time of only partial vaccine protection) " [Link] As stated, it's early days, but will be important to keep an eye on these things over the coming weeks and months and also to see if they are replicated here. It should also shine a more complete light on differences between vaccines.

Every link is to a media outlet quoting so called studies why not just link direct to the full study papers the media links do not even do this either they link to press releases with the odd one linking to correct place [Link] only one which shows a study which i already ripped apart here is two quotes from within the study "Our report is based on an observational study, not a randomized controlled trial, and has several associated limitations:" "we observe could help tune epidemiological models of vaccine impact on the spread of the virus." Keep on reading that same section they invalid their own study So everything coming out of Israel is 100% facts. You don't understand the subject so you can keep going on and on it's pointless do you have any science knowledge about humans I have phd physiology and sports science this is what I do for a living also when I was in Thailand I studied tropical medicine. Look at the wording as I stated before in science their is no terms like "could or about" When you learn to understand this stuff kid it will really open your eyes you will feel like such a fool at the moment you have no clue. This is just the same as when people try to tell me about nutrition they come out with the BS mainstream has fed them quoting all sorts of studies which they don't even understand.

I explained that I didn't post the full studies on account that nobody would've read them (just as you didn't read the actual Lancet study posted). Some of the studies were originally in Hebrew too; there is nothing wrong with posting accessible findings that people will actually read. Just because it's in a format you don't like doesn't mean it's 'lies' by default [Link] The preliminary results are impressive and worth keeping an eye on as we move forward through the coming weeks and months (the disparity in cases between groups). I can't speak for future mutations as that may well eventually factor in, but these initial findings, along with hospitalisation data is a good thing not something to argue about. Quote
So everything coming out of Israel is 100% facts. Nobody at any point stated that everything coming out of Israel is 100% facts, but thanks for the bizarre anti Israel interjection. Quote
Look at the wording as I stated before in science their is no terms like "could or about" Again, it's "there" not "their", Mr 'Phd'. But okay great, then I'm glad you embrace these initial findings. "A total of 371 out of 715,425 Israelis who passed at least a week after receiving two doses of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine have contracted the virus – 0.04%, with 16 being sent to the hospital Over the same period of time, some 8,250 new cases of COVID-19 emerged in the control group of some 900,000 people having a diverse health profile. Those who were not inoculated were therefore 11 times more likely to get the disease than those who were immunized, showing 92% effectiveness." This is based on data from hundreds of thousands of vaccinated and unvaccinated (control group) individuals, not some mad Jewish lie. It would make sense that they would analyse the impact of vaccination and that is what one of their biggest health organisations is currently doing and the results are pretty stark so far. It's worth noting that it's also very close in terms of efficacy to Pfizers own study. I'm sure there will be more follow up data before long. Quote
You don't understand the subject so you can keep going on and on it's pointless do you have any science knowledge about humans I have phd physiology and sports science this is what I do for a living also when I was in Thailand I studied tropical medicine. Well of course... Quote
When you learn to understand this stuff kid it will really open your eyes you will feel like such a fool at the moment you have no clue. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. You're a real oracle.

Average age of people seriously ill with covid in Israel hospitals plotted against vaccine rollout. Though we have a more mixed picture with regards to multiple vaccines being used here hopefully we'll start to see many of these changes too. Keeping hospitalisations down is clearly key and something we should all be pleased to see here or abroad. Attachment: ill.jpg (40.77Kb)

Having watched the spat between you two I do ask what your take on the vaccine is. Why are you,or appear to be fighting against any reports which appear to be positive. I've read some of the links and it seems that way. Do you believe the vaccine is dangerous going forwards or is there another reason. Maybe not enough trials or length of trials. I'm just inquisitive as the science seems to point to it being safer than not having it.

And, in addition, the logic that says it's only worth the vulnerable getting vaccinated. That would appear to result in a constant state of pandemic with no way out. Furthermore, what is new about the way the Phase 4 tests are being done. They are always done once a vaccine goes live. Edited by Mapletree (18 Feb 2021 2.10pm)

Edited by Mapletree (18 Feb 2021 2.10pm) To be fair though I would like to know what his and his wife's reasoning is. Hes said they are both professionals in the field so there must be some logic to their stance. Whether it cuts ice with me is another matter. I'm having the jab when invited as what I've seen gives me positive vibes; and it does appear to be the way out of lockdown sooner than waiting for mother nature to run her course alongside many more deaths and more grief and sadness.

Why does it always come to this on HOL whatever subject is discussed? Argument, counter argument, insults and no resolution. What an utter waste of time and resources. I wish to ask a question if permitted. My second dose of the Pfizer is due on March 4th which is 12 weeks since the first. Much medical opinion (WHO, BMA and Pfizer themselves) is that there is no guarantee of immunity after 6 weeks. The government's heralded triumph of first dose vaccinations looks impressive but belies a possible unintended consequence of possible infection incurred between 6 and 12 weeks. We are unasked guinea pigs and any vaccine 'certificate' or 'passport' subsequently issued in the UK is likely to be rejected by other countries (certainly by Israel) as worthless as the stipulated I shall be very annoyed if I turn up at an airport and get turned away as not having proof of vaccination !
