Ultimately religion isn't something innate or unchangable, like race or sexuality. It's a belief in something. A whole selection of beliefs rather.. and so disliking or assessing a set of beliefs this way or that shouldn't be taboo.

One of the major differences between the left and the 'real' right on things like Islam is in how they view the future. Essentially if you are like me you recognise that humans are around eighty percent nature and twenty percent nurture. Whereas if you're a social constructionist you're more like twenty percent for genes and eighty percent for nurture. For me, if you want to see what what Birmingham looks like when it's fully Islamic.....just look at Islamabad....because it'll be an updated version of that....sticking out in northern Europe. There are idealogs who think that is compatible with a harmonious future. The memory of the people who encouraged and enabled this future won't be forgotten. I don't think they will be remembered fondly by their disenfranchised descendants.

What I struggle with Islam is that it's a one way street. Yet we ask one thing, only one thing. To teach their children about same sex relations and they go mad. If your a moderate tollerante liberal person ,don't shoot down people with concerns about this growing religion maybe give them sympathy for a change because things are changing and not everyone likes this change.

I come from a world where image, message and PR are paramount. Politics is savage. He is a political figure whether he likes it or not. Clever people get it, and are successful. Stupid people don't and continually make the same or new mistakes and eventually die off. As always. He is continually making entirely avoidable mistakes considering the context of his situation and getting too emotional, plus putting together hatchet job journalism on issues that could actually have been very powerfully exposed (BBC prime example – 'take down the BBC' haha. Maybe take a Youtube editing class or get someone who knows what they are doing to put a program together). He is clearly not cut out to be a successful leader. A pioneer in some eyes, maybe. Leader, no way. Sacrifical lamb, yes. Obviously there is a lot of truth in what you say. You emphasize the wisdom of being clever or being successful and obviously I don't disagree. However, criticisms of Robinson are one thing the others are the issues that created Robinson and how the state and more pointedly the intelligentsia are culpable. Robinson really is a Tommy being fed to the machine guns but unlike his appointed betters...his officers....at least he's pointing in the right direction. Originally posted by SW19 CPFC
I don't have the answer to 'like' but someone will emerge IF the issue is that pressing. At the moment it's clearly not but that may well change. If I believed everything you said then it will, but I'm yet to be convinced. As we've discussed before, people simply aren't uncomfortable enough (yet). Of course your last sentence hits on the central nerve. The tipping point hasn't been hit yet. Outside of the cities and selected towns these issues seem a long way to many people. However, the Brexit vote shows that there is an undercurrent of understanding at the threat to ways of life that currently seem permanent. It's a depressing future....but it's looking that way. Throwing a milkshake on someone is not exactly like being punched in the face. Therefore there are ways to respond that are proportional to the initial offence committed. We all know that. Technically yes it's assault, but, yet again, as well all know very well there are degrees of being assaulted. If I went out and threw a milkshake (note, McDonalds definitely have milk in their milkshakes) over a random person in the street I reckon at best I'd get a fine or caution for common assault and maybe criminal damage at a stretch. If I threw it over the queen, or a figure of importance? Immediate prison. Also knowing a copper it is insanely easy to get off scot free. Also, if it were the other way around I'm sure some snow flaking would be occurring right now, 'it was only a milkshake etc. etc.' I get the he's always under threat narrative but sometimes just have a little pause before being partisan. The guy who shouted Nazi insults at Anna Souby is having to go to court. The guy who threw a milkshake over Robinson and lied about it is celebrated in the media....and yes i think it's correct to say what he did was celebrated. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 May 2019 7.51am)

It isn't just prisons as my wife is a nurse and in her hospital there is a prayer room where the Muslims can go and pray yet most of the time they are just hanging around in there drinking coffee. I'm not sure that the interest free loans and mortgages are a perk as they are made to pay interest in some other way as no bank or finance company is going to bankrupt itself by ;ending money interest free

BUT will shoot down tommy robinson because he is against these muslim views.
