I think that only works if we are considering a young up and coming manager. An established manager like Sean Dyche would not accept it.

It does beg the question if Palace are preparing to spend (big if) does it make sense to give the money to a manager who is probably 1 year away from retirement.

I like Roy but if the right manager is available maybe we should change this summer.

I would rather have a younger more forward thinking coach.

Sanchez flores who was at Watford springs to mind.

I also like Roy but he can't go on forever.

I'd put money on Dougie as new manager when the time comes ..Parish will now want to pay for a good manager

Whatever happened to steven reid. Thought he was doing a good job at palace and maybe was being groomed as Roy's successor.

DF does not have Palace in his heart , to become the manager , as proved when he was manager here and left as he say's to join a bigger and better club .
I would like to see a new manager to sparkle things up and move RH to director of football therefor getting rid of DF

If so we may at least get somebody in who knows how to find good players from the transfer market. On MOTD we had the 3rd lowest big chance conversion in the league. Whilst that isn't the be all and end all as Watford had worse than us, the Udders and Foolem were on the screen. Assuming we are not planning to ditch half the squad then either the present attacking players improve in this area by working hard there or we get better in the transfer window. Looking at both these scenarios the transfer window looks the best chance as a number of our players haven't shown any improvement in their finishing.

Roy would be brilliant as director of football.

He has the contacts so would be making us better straight away in the transfer market.

I'd like Benitez when the season finishes.

I'd love to see Benitez. Other quality managers that we have no chance of getting include Dyche and Howe.

Lampard all the way for me.

No thanks. Nothing to suggest Dougie has any PL managerial qualities

SP will doubtless get him as cheap and SP loves a legend

never achieved a 34% win percentage at three Championship clubs

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I wouldn't be so anti Dougie stepping up if Roy calls it day. Yes Dougie made a mistake which he has freely addmitted. He knows how to coach players and has long history with our club
