Really? Evidence, please. He is a long time dead but I am sure you can find some quotes to support this assertion. I thought he considered himself omnipotent. 65 miles was a long way to travel back then. I suspect he would have been more likely to support FC Braunau. I thought Bayern are known as "The Reds" and not the Eagles anyway. Maybe I misunderstood and you were trying to be funny? Easy mistake to make. Not light-hearted? Evidence? We have film footage!

A pussy has been grabbed. Not according to Trump's team. It's all part of a "Democratic witch-hunt"! Sound familiar? It seems everything in life that isn't approved by Trump is part of a "Democratic witch-hunt". In this case, the due process of the law seems to be. Amazing!

A New York jury find Trump guilty based on hearsay and seemingly 'believe all woman'. Most people who aren't biased against Trump, even independents, view this as a case created by political motives. Whether Trump actually did make a move on this woman or not can't really be known....it wouldn't surprise me, but that's not the same thing. The right know that the Democrats weaponized the legal system in their states and are busy ensuring the same in theirs. Its decline apes the west in general. We will see whether this verdict stands the appeal or how it affects Trump's polls.....It may even increase his numbers. Edited by Stirlingsays (09 May 2023 9.07pm)

Edited by Stirlingsays (09 May 2023 9.07pm) A jury selected for, and guided to be, objective disagreed. They, of course, actually saw and heard all the evidence, and not just the salacious reports of the evidence. Proved beyond a reasonable doubt is the test and it's the only test. No one can "weaponise" a legal system. They can take advantage of someone's guilt but the person has to be guilty first. I am quite sure that the Republicans would not pause for a moment if they could mount cases against Clinton or Biden that would stick. The Democrats didn't mount this case. They may not even benefit from it.

For those interested, there's a very good article in the right-wing National Review (staunch republican outlet) summarising the situation: The thrust is basically that Trump is unelectable but it plays to Democrat interests to drum up his candidacy because of that, hence the endless headlines that "Trump is winning" in the liberal press. They'd like nothing better than for Trump to get the Republican nomination because he's the one candidate that even Biden is guaranteed to beat. Large swathes of Republicans are too cowed to stand up to Trump's gang in public, but there's absolutely no way they will vote for him at the ballot box. Anyway, well worth a read (and bear in mind the source is a longstanding right-wing journal).

If you want to come on here and pretend that a New York jury are apolitical then cool....You might as well argue for flying pink elephants as well but I expect no different from you.

Trying to get my head around this Trump case. 1. This woman claimed that Trump essentially bumps into her in a department store, persuades her to come and look at some lingerie, cajoles her into a changing room, which she willingly does, and then rapes her. No physical evidence, no CCTV, nothing. No reporting it to the police for decades, no medical evidence. Essentially her word against his. The Jury disbelieves her rape claim but still finds Trump guilty of sexual assault anyway? Trump says he has no idea who this woman even is and vehemently denies it. This woman was either raped or she was not. That is it. If you don't believe her claims about being raped, how can you then believe her claims about being sexually assaulted? Was the penetrative sex consensual but everything else not? None of this makes any sense whatsoever. Edited by Matov (10 May 2023 6.12am)
