Edited by Badger11 (09 Sep 2020 8.11am) Nobody pointed the finger at BLM riots. Perhaps this is the root of that issue. But I think the spread is more coming in homes, so kind of understand why the restriction, I just don’t agree with it and don’t think that many will adhere to it this time. It’s going to also cause a lot of division, snitching etc. Plus people can make their own minds up, including gran, and I know they are.

But I suppose that doesn’t fit Keira’s original and permanently nervous approach to this and of course he won’t step out of the European govt trend to this. If he had anything about him he’d pull the government apart over the shocking amount of people not getting critical organ treatment and body part operations. The hospitals were cleared out and didn’t backtrack on it when we were on the other side or the curve flattened and won’t now until whenever next year or god forbid whenever after 2021 as they keep hospitals from providing anything more than a fraction of its services as they ‘wait for a 2nd wave’ like they waited while the virus has been on the way down at least for months. He’s as fvcking useless and negligent as Hancock & Johnson. Truly shambolic from the whole lot. I name her Keira from now on. You make some good points.

The government is bad for your health. They just go from one absurdity to another, banning gatherings of over 6 people should be refused. After all that has happened, made far worse by themselves, they simply have no idea what they are doing and grasp at population control out of panic for their survival. The best you can do is follow the NHS guidelines and be responsible, that may or may not help. To argue that 5 people in the same place is safe but 6 is not, is beyond stupid.

Edited by Badger11 (09 Sep 2020 8.11am) As an old wrinklie, I cannot totally agree with you. My wife has seen plenty of “wrinklies” who have chosen to travel abroad on holiday and then get abusive when asked to complete track and trace paperwork ( not saying this is worthwhile but it is regulation). Of course some younger people have gone “silly” but also don’t forget the large gatherings of BAME people, who choose to have large gatherings as it is their culture Edited by Spiderman (09 Sep 2020 10.56am) Edited by Spiderman (09 Sep 2020 10.57am)

I will respond on the track and trace below.

Before I return from Poland I have to complete an online government form as part of the track and trace. I have no problem with the principle but as usual the government is making life difficult. I am not allowed to complete the form until 48 hours before I come home so I need to find a place with good WiFi to do this when we are constantly on the move. It's an aggravation. From what I see this is pretty much flight information and contact numbers. My tour operator has all of this so why can't they provide it to the government. At the very least why can't I complete this before I go? Added to the inconvenience I have now heard from 2 people that when they came back they weren't even asked for this information at immigration. Supposedly you have to have to produce a proof on paper or on your phone well what's the point if no one checks you have done it. Anyway mustn't grumble

A lot of airport arrivals have just walked through. It really is down to vulnerable and their close friends and family to do the right thing. The government should have done their bit but fuss about showing they’re trying to defeat a virus they can’t.

Sorry, I but I cannot agree. You cannot legitimately commercially invest people’s pension money in residential portfolios in this country. Well, that’s not totally true, but you have to jump through some hoops, see the link attached. I do not blame pensions for the increase in residential property values in this country, I blame unrestricted foreign investment and consistently low interest rates. There may well be investment funds that invest in residential property but these funds won’t be held in pension portfolios. Here's one in the local area - doesn't sound too bad. Could have literally found thousands in England. This took me two minutes whilst on the bus.

I also agree as an oldie..I see plenty of oldies in my town shopping but not social distancing or wearing a mask in the appropriate places...even the Doctors surgeries. Yes the young have been careless but so have the older generation. Do we get to feel better because we can say its not our fault..its everybody else. Originally posted by Spiderman

Apparently Johnson has just said: “The world we want to move to is one where everyone can take an enabling test at the start of every day" Jesus christos, I think Boris is genuinely ill now.
