Todays first download is a set by Eddie Money that was recorded in Columbus, Ohio in 1985. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and sounds top notch. According to my files this is the first bootleg or album I've posted by Eddie - I'm not so sure of that - but when my pc crashed a while back I lost the list of the bootlegs and albums I've posted over the last few years - it was invaluable to me for checking albums and boots I've posted... bah!. This is a good set though and it really rocks... thoroughly recommended....

Todays extra Saturday download is a bootleg by The Beatles that has been put together by a fan and features career spanning Demos, Outtakes, Alternate and Live performances. The quality of this bootleg is superb for the most part - but a couple of tracks of lesser quality seem to have found their way into the final mix. Most of these tracks are available on other bootlegs by the band. If you like The Beatles though, you will still want this one.... thoroughly recommended....

Todays second download is a collection of the flexidiscs that The Beatles sent out to their fans at Christmas. They did this from 1963 until 1969. These tracks have been taken from the original flexidiscs and it's remarkable that they have survived this long. Original artwork is included in the file. Flexidiscs are very thin plastic discs, a bit like a floppy disc - and they have all been put together in this one download. If you like The Beatles - you must have this one...

A Monty Python-like record (or to be more accurate, the Goon Shows) , with amongst other things “Everywhere It’s Christmas,” “Orowanya,” “Please Don’t Bring Your Banjo Back” and the dramatic mini-play “Podgy the Bear and Jasper Visit Felpin Mansions.”

05. Christmas Time Is Here Again!
December 15, 1967
Includes the rocking “Christmas Time is Here Again,” “Plenty of Jam Jars” (performed by fictional band the “Revellers”), and finally John’s poem “When Christmas Time is Over.”

06. The Beatles 1968 Christmas Record
December 20, 1968
A collage of sounds and Fab greetings, including “Happy Christmas, Happy New Year,” Johns poem “Jock & Yono” and “Once Upon a Pool Table.” Guest-appearing artist Tiny Tim destroys “Nowhere Man”.

07. The Beatles Seventh Christmas Record
December 19, 1969
A visit to John and Yoko in their home, Ringo plugs his movie “The Magic Christian” and Paul sings “This is to Wish You a Merry, Merry Christmas.” George is featured only briefly.

Todays first download is an early bootleg by Van Halen that was recorded at the Village Recorder Studios in L.A. in May 1976. The quality of this boot is superb and the audio has been taken from the studio master tapes and sounds top notch. These demos were produced by Gene Simmons and he touted them around the record companies trying to get VH a record deal - nobody is interested and they part ways.. it wasn't long before VH gets a record deal though - the rest is history... If you like Van Halen, you will want this one... this is thoroughly recommended.
