It's good that after all the bickering on here, you've still got a sense of humour! Fair play to you!

Tbf the hardline but honest Brexiteers ( a very measly few) knew almighty lumps of poop would be going straight toward the fan on exit but thought the hit would be worth it if it meant keeping some pesky foreigners out, having the perception of 'freeeeedom', and being able to trade with Bhutan freely.

So what if we have to pay £60billion on exit and so what if we are leaving the biggest economic trade block in the world and who cares if it takes a decade to get trade deals with countries like Canada sorted? And it was fine that UKIP and Boris and Michael and others used ideology and waffle to persuade the impressionable.

Politics is fun again.

Just a protest vote that has got way out of hand really.

They've been around the block and spent decades in the business a fair few of them and with age comes wisdom. They don't have to adhere to party whips and are free to express. A wonderful part of our establishment.

Not really. More a way out of the easily corruptible United States of Europe before it inevitably happens.

Perhaps we should appoint the commons then for the same reason?

I think that is more a damning of the Commons than praise for their Lordships

I voted out, but not for that reason. More the fact that we would become a satellite state in the United States of Europe. With total rule by an unelected Federal government. At least the USA elect their houses of power. But even then, the USA has a box of frogs in power.

You're just as ''impressionable'' as those you deride.
You just can't see it.

I must have imagined the last 65 years of peace in Western Europe, our stronger economy since joining, and our cleaner sea and rivers then?
