How long before some of the Champions League and PL games are played there. I can see it with the CL not sure about PL. it’s another version of MLS in the States that hasn’t taken off to the extent they’re poaching young talent, not sure whether Saudi will or not. The PL has a unique product that you’ll never replicate - the history and passion of its fan base. That’s what translates to the pitch and makes for full on matches that are watched around the world. For all its money the Saudi league will be a very sanitised version with players going through the motions.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

My Everton season ticket holding buddy has and is laughing his socks off that they are unloading Gray onto us at several times what they paid for him despite the fact that Dyche won't play him as he's a lousy trainer and bone idle. Must be payback for Bolasie I suppose I’ve never invested much in thoughts of Everton fans and I’m disinclined to now. That club has been a shambles for a number of years now and I’d suggest not conducive to getting the best out of anybody. In any instance, if a laugh is to be had in football atm it’s Tottenham’s reported interest in signing Mbappe. My ribs did actually hurt.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Darren Ambrose has just confirmed there is no release clause anymore for Olise and if there was, he'd be gone already. So I guess that's good news for 1 more season unless he's sold for big bucks this season. I expect this is Chelsea unsettling him. On Zaha point. Sad to see him leave but fair play that he wants to play Champions league football and he will be in a starting line up. He's done a lot for the club, he will stay a palace icon and I hope we have more players with his talent and hunger play for us! Shame Wilf seemed to be led by his greedy brither

And seem to be intent on letting Kane leave for free next season. Absolute madness. Unfortunately SP said he sees Levy as someone to look up to

For what it’s worth I actually have a very good friend who supports Everton and now lives in Woolwich! Always travel to games with him when we play them, usual meet up in a cafe, trading of (humorous) insults etc before heading off.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Whatever happened to tapping up or is it a thing of the past ?It used to be illegal for a club to make direct contact to a player or his agent without his parent clubs permission, im sure a few clubs got hefty fines in the past [Link]

Even a declining Zaha was our only genuine proven Premier League attacker and it probably explains why we were so desperate to keep him.

One thing that is apparent is that whereas previously we had gone in for seasoned pros who had been round the block a bit and therefore were good for our survival strategy at the time, we have now started to invest in younger talent with potential. It seems obvious that clubs with some cash to spare will start paying attention to those younger players who have already started to shine for us. It's a new problem for the board to think about: how to keep your best assets and /or how to maximise the sales potential should offers come in.
