As far as I am concerned "Faggots" are meat balls and I if someone took me to task for saying "Faggots and peas" that woke person would feel the force of my ire.

The goalposts keep getting moved, every year there are genuine words which are deemed to be offensive to the PC fraternity. There will come a time when individuals will be afraid to mutter anything in case it is somehow offensive.Makes my blood boil.

Be careful. Boiling blood is offensive to the vampire community.

If I had posted similar sentiments such as "Gets my dander up" I suspect there are those who might conclude that this could be offensive to poor gentlemen suffering with erectile dysfunction.

Darned "Offended" and "Offensive" must be the most used words in this modern era in the UK.
Some group is offended by this, some by that. One cannot watch a football match without hearing the words"Sorry if you were offended by..." etc etc.

Would I be right in saying that BBC radio will stay play music with some fairly hard racist words in?
If they will allow that but not the words to this then their double standards are even worse!

Original Fairytale of New York banned from Radio 1 this Christmas. Some of the lyrics will offend young people apparently.

I'd have thought White Christmas would have got the chop this year and I don't even know where to start with Ding Dong Merrily On High.

Who actually is offended

Kirsty McColl (RiP) from Croydon gets censored.

Meanwhile all the homophobic hate-speech from hipHop is tolerated.

another beautiful double-standard from all the hypocrites.

Don’t they ban it every year? One of the best Christmas songs imo. Ridiculous

Ain’t that the truth. But don’t you see that music is about the urban struggle against oppression so therefore it’s ok and you can say what you want!

Anyway who the f... gets to decide what’s played and what’s pulled because it is time middle Britain started complaining en masse about perfectly good songs being censored.

There have just been modest attempts to address the left-wing political and cultural biases that have spread unchallenged through so much of our life.

Thus far little has been done to address the spread of divisive values and ideas from academic faculties and leftist movements into the civil service, executive suites, and elsewhere.

Darned woke ideas will continue to hollow out institutions, and turn people against one another. They just don’t want to be told that they have to do this in a certain way, or hold specific views, or “educate themselves” to see the world as determined by the "Woke Brigade".

I have been on my 'Soapbox' hyperventilating on this issue numerous times and my retinue of friends are of the same mind.

So apparently other BBC radio stations e.g. Radio 2 will play the uncensored version but not Radio 1.

That seems turned around? Surely Radio 2 is for the wrinklies, people who may not like bad language etc. I thought Radio 1 was for the rebels the youngsters who didn't give a ****

What audience is Radio 1 aiming for?
