Really ? how so ? From where I'm sat (not in Block E) you have not come up with one single solitary factually based reason why the singing section should not go ahead. Not on safety, not on law, not even any valid reason as to why people should feel so indignant about moving, other than they have (will have) thier noses put out of joint because they have been asked to move for the benefit of the clubs atmosphere. But then I'm sure people like you would forgo the clubs famous atmosphere coming back, just to satisfy there own petty self indulgent interests. I bet you burst little kids footballs when they land on your rhododendrons. Now I would suggest in the interest of the thread that you either debate properly and come up with a hitherto unmentioned pearl of wisdom in favour of cancelling the singing section, or just get used used to the idea that it will happen and some people will have to be relocated. Why it's such a big deal I don't know. Just as an aside there is more pages on this "issue" than there is on a much more serious issue of Grooming Gangs, which speaks absolute volumes to me, in that this is a very "self interest at heart" thread, and not necessarily what is best for the club, which surely should be paramount ? I await with bated breath your pearls of wisdom that will show how I have lost the argument, or alternatively (and more likely) await for you to show that you are the grumpy old git I believe you to be, whose moral outrage is based purely from a self interested view point rather than what would be best for the club.

You really do sound like a stuck record, or one of those sound bites from Points of view " Mr Repair man morally outraged with nothing better to do than read the Mail from London says......... (insert above) Your (potentially) being asked to move seats at a football match, where you spend a couple of hours every other week (on average) to watch Palace. No one is asking you to sell a kidney and give your offspring to a Romanian human trafficking gang. I think a sense of perspective is required here people as from some of the comments it would appear it has been lost. The singing section was always the Arthur years ago, then the Holmesdale got developed, and the singing section became the lower Holmesdale, I don't recall all this sissiness back then. You'll end up having to move seats big deal get over it. There probably was 'sissiness' - if that's what you want to call it - but what there wasn't were social media sites that allowed those unfairly treated to vent their disgust/raise awareness of their plight.

And to add to this, a quote from RLC about our atmosphere. Speaking to Football.London about the affection shown to him, Loftus-Cheek said: "It was a really good reception from the Palace fans and when I was there, it was great. "The fans were great and it is one of the best atmospheres I have played in front of, so to hear them sing my name was a warming feeling." Meaning they likely do prefer to play in front of singing fans, rather than quiet. Oh so it was only the HF singing RLC name. Right, I got it now.

That’s not what he’s said. You’re attempting to twist it to suit your view. He didn’t mention the HF. He has said that RLC’s comments suggest that players like to play in stadiums with atmospheres. The point being that the SP atmosphere has suffered since the HF have gone.

Just to confirm, there's only one group of people who have got rid of "the clubs famous atmosphere". Nobody seems to be able to clarify why the HF have to move from Block B. Signing section - tick Why not just reserve 400 seats in Block B for HF? Cant wait for these HF to get 'removed' from Block E in a few years time when they're too old or too pissed off with the Club to continue singing in this section. "Sorry son, but you're not loud enough - off to the Sainsburys end for you".

Anyone can sing at any given time, in any part of the ground. What a farce, you couldn't make it up. Edited by southnorwoodhill (10 Nov 2018 7.13am)

Edited by southnorwoodhill (10 Nov 2018 7.13am) It has been branded the 'Singing section' when we are all aware this is a euphemism for 'HF section'.In the final analysis the HF have protested by their actions in not continuing their support from Block B and have got what they want.
