On twitter, South London Press said that they were told that Charlton had enquired about Howe but were told he was "already going to another club". [Tweet Link]

It would not surprise me one bit if Charlton threw money at a manager we wanted or had. They've done it before with Dowie whilst he was in charge here (which was proven to be the case in court) - and we all know where that got them. If they do it again and he chooses them, so be it. very true, still cant help feeling gutted though reading that. I just hope whoever wrote it is making it up. Howe doesnt strike me from reports of him that Money would be the deciding factor in his change, but if its true then fair enough. Does make me angry though that they always want what we have

What I don't understand is why I want Howe. This time last week I knew little about him and wanted Coppell. Now the Howe hype has gripped me! I bet he ends up being a young Trevor Francis!
