Still seriously pissed from the oval todday, so I will keep it brief. Having just watched the video on Palace player and hearing Davids talking about Wright and Bright and that the move came about from him being messaged on Twitter when we were in admin - and also George Burley's comments on the club, I could not be happier right now. Davids is a true modern day footballing icon and if he is even 50% of the player he was, he will still be the best player in this division. I am sure a fair few people will be at the game on Saturday who wouldn't have been - and that is fine. Some people need a prompt. I'm feeling very drunk indeed.

Absolute joke,this guy is over the hill,was unwanted by everyone and we take him on,on god knows how much money?reminds me of juniuno (or whatever his name was at middlesbro) couple years back,as youngster was good but when he returned was a liability,this Davids will be the same,would rather have us looking at younger players with potential than this 37 yr old veteran,he will be easy to by pass and keeping much better players out..GUTTED !!!
I think he will play though - he's about the same age as Giggs - its nowhere near unthinkable that he'll hold his own at this level. He won't have the pace he used to have, but his experience will mean he can sit in the middle, win the ball and play it simple - exactly what we need. As for keeping younger players out - who better for them to learn from and play alongside? Danns has already said he can't wait to train with him and watch everything he does to learn from him. Think again - this is a no-lose situation.
